@@louieee4014 I wasn't lead alto in my freshman year, but it definitely felt like I was because the actual lead wasn't able to make it to the concert, so I had to play mostly 1st
For all the guitarists watching, its exponentially simpler to leave out the lowest note in the riff, harmonically its covered, so just worry about the top two voices and save yourself a hand cramp
Bonjour à tous, Je souhaiterais la version audio complète de "In the Stone" svp, est-ce que qqu'un serait ou la trouver ? Merci d'avance Jean-Sébastien
Why it has to be so annoying! They stop the recording before it ends. If you want to practice with your school band, it is almost impossible. The kids get frustrated.
@@christophermartineztoscano2368 I get that. Alto solo would work there too. The thing is he is using the trombones heavily on the melody throughout this. I think a lot more of the melody would work well in the saxes.
I’ve heard many groups play this and I think the Hal Leonard group is the best. I know it’s professionally recorded but it’s clean as hell.
Ikr, whoever is in the Hal Leonard group can play
Loved played this chart. Even the Bari part is fun even though it’s pretty simple

Same! I’m kinda nervous cause I beat out an 11th grader on bass as a freshman

Good bass bone part. Plenty of healthy low range for a chop break piece.

Why stop at bar 74?
Trumpet 2
this is already grade 4 , why they have to water down the rhythm ?
An arrangement of killer queen or somebody to love would be nice
Mellophone
Is there a chance to get the sheets ?
You gotta buy them bro
😚
What’s the tempo just asking
I notice that this cover as well as the original seem to vary between 57 and 58 beats per minute. Can't quite figure it out.
116 bpm
your in cut time
This can't be a level 4 I played it my sophomore year of high school
I played it in 8th grade
Jordan Tolan same
playing it my sophomore year rn, as a fresh out of the oven trombonist this is a little hellish to start with
My middle school jazz band played this
Level 4 is around high school level, probably even level 5
Not too bad
It's a wee bit fast, don't you think?
no this is how its played in most big bands
@@tom7991 I'm comparing it to the original recording.
Is there a chance to get the sheets ? Wonderful.

To avoid copyright infringement.
It should’ve been an alto sax part instead..
