I had one hooked to a hen 2 years ago and the hen was pretty vocal. I started cutting her off every time she started to make a noise. It was like she got aggravated at me for interrupting her conversation and she came in fast, he followed and I got the shot.

You can try and get the hens excited and draw the hens to you and the gobbler will follow.
I'm definitely not a turkey expert, but some of the people I know who are successful say mimic the hen. They hate that
