I find if you get it out of S mode, Uninstal the bloat and just get into the settings and optimize it a little the machine is great for writing blogs, documents and general web browsing. Been happy with it as it does what I need and I knew what I was getting into when I got it.

Regarding video editing, in section where laptop internals are shown, it was hard for eyes to jump between footage. Would be nicer to show only internals while telling about them :)

Seems like a perfect machine to use it with some lightweight Linux distro. Humanity would be better off, if this type of low end machines would not have been paired with cluttered and resource hungry windows :)
I got one of these at costco, returned it after 2 days, it was absolutely trash laptop , cant even open 2 windows at a time without it freezing , got a macbook now its worth the investment

These were $1K at Costco. I know because my wife bought one (S540) and now it deletes text and files by itself. This is a castrated version of that model but looks to be identical garbage. You have to remove the mainboard and rip out a heat shield just to change the keyboard. I was a tech for 10 years. These are a nightmare to try to repair...
I bought one for the simple purpose of having something to write with, do internet surfing with and play RUclips videos with outside the house. If it was only slower, that wouldn't bother me very much. Unfortunately, the problems are far worse than that. It locks up or spends execrably long times loading things. I doubt the problem is the hardware though. The internet servers might be delaying their responses because the response time of the machine itself is relatively slow. Or, it might be the operating system itself. I have long believed that Microsoft is either indifferent to problems with Windows or outright sabotages its own software with the objective of forcing people to upgrade or buy new computers. This laptop comes with Windows S standard. Why would Windows S not work if all you are doing is writing text and opening webpages?
I don't believe that hardware is the problem at all. The eMMC storage is slower to respond. The processor is minimal. 4gb of ram is not much in today's world but for simple web surfing it ought to be enough. Interestingly, I recall that the machine worked adequately when I first got it and began to perform more poorly following upgrades, though my memory is not specific. I call that typical Microsoft behavior.
Picked one up at costco, $150 + tax. Installed 8gb ram and Predator GM3500 512GB NVMe SSD - M.2 PCIe Gen3. Nice system for about $200 with upgrades.
Did you have to remove the 128 SSD memory or it comes with a second slot?
recent purchase Lenovo Ideapad 1 15IGL7 ( Pentium Silver 5030/ 605 grahics/15in, 128Gb/4gb Ram), i replaced Win 11 with Peppermint O.S. Loaded , added Zram. Works fast enough with 330Mbs ethernet( usb-c adapter)/WiFi. Screen is as stated in the video. Reason of purchsed = testing from 2023 laptop. HDMI output to 43 in Insignia TV, streaming sports , surprising. Price (50% off) = $230 CDN, its a cheap machine so no expectation other than what i use it for ( no gaming), it does the job , indoors ( for outdoors = use huge mexican hat ).
It depends what you use it for I use it for sending documents checking email surfing the web for news checking my CRM for my business just light use when I'm on the go so it depends what you need it for.

not a terrible deal, not a good deal. Average. at $350, if you're in the US, you can find a much more powerful system used.

There is already 128 GB storage in the above-mentioned laptop. To increase the storage, I want to add an additional Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) in my laptop. Is there any separate slot available for fixing this 500 GB SSD (NVMe M.2 2280) ? What make/models of SSD are suitable for this purpose ?

I can't rationalize buying any of these sub $200 laptops. They just aren't worth the money. They struggle with even the most basic tasks. You can buy something used for the same money that will perform so much better! They are not a good experience and the purchase will be instantly regretted.

It's good price BUT RAM 4G is very slow. Not good enough to do for everything. Do NOT buy 4 GB RAM. you will waste your money. I really regret now.
