Clip it in your front right pocket. Grab the ring with thumb, to bring out of pocket while switching to index into the ring. Pull up and forward in order to pull the closed blade and use as a knuck. If you pull up and back rubbing against the pocket, it will deploy. Its designed this way. You just have to learn to use it, and not jump to conclusions like most reviewers are doing.
An honest review from the perspective of someone who carries for utilitarian use over self defense, and that is a fine perspective to come from because this isn't primarily a utilitarian type knife. I have many knives, some i carry for working knives others i carry for defense. As for self defense the best blade is a blade an attacker doesnt know about until its to late and this blade fits the bill, it also provides a less than lethal option in the closed position.
Thanks for the review! Since they released the Provoke, I've appreciated that it exists, but it still seems like more of a novelty for me. I can't image owning one, especially at that price point. Nonetheless, I'm sure this ticks many people's boxes as a fun knife to own.
I really like Karambits, but prefer fixed blade self defense knives. I only carry as a self defense backup and even then rarely. I have to use a cane so it is a vastly better option for the purpose.
Being ex military & permanently in a wheelchair I keep this knife in a snug sheath underneath my seat. I find it easy & quick to deploy being paralyzed & being looked at as easier to be victimized.
It’s cool and interesting but it’s also completely ridiculous as an everyday carry unless 1. You have trained in how to fight with them 2. You live in a high crime area and may need to fight for your life at any given moment.
I love the look of this knife. I've always been a fan of Karambits, but the mechanism is a whole other level of awesome.

This was a perfect review of this knife. I feel the same way and I bought it because it was different. Cool design but not I only carry it never. Lol
You should try out the Provoke Compact. Much better fit in hand and the ring is more appropriately sized

The reason for such a large finger hole is that you could deploy and use the knife when using gloved hands.
Definitely not for me either, but I like that CRKT is trying to innovate. Great video, very accurate

Great looks like they made a knife for me my ring size is a 15 lol 😜 But ya I'm not carrying that! 👍👊
Bro doesn't know what color socks to wear in the morning (white).
Definitely don’t agree with your appraisal.
