I think the MDM on the iPad I have isn’t allowing a connection to the Mac. I’ve tried resetting multiple times, I’ve even gone all the way to the set up screen and the computer just doesn’t recognize it
For me it wasn’t working, when I tried to open the mdm universal, it said that the app quit. I don’t know what happened but it’s not working! The east of it was, “MDMpatcher Universal quit unexpectedly.”
People reading this and wondering if it works: it does! JUST BE AWARE: Given the opportunity (I. E. Another factory reset) the iPad will probably search for mdm on the internet again so you should really only do this to devices that you are either actively loaning or that no one cares about anymore. For that reason, selling an ipad like this is also not a good idea lol
I believe this works but how do I reset my iPad if I can't reset it and erase all the data because its restricted from the school, the company the school uses is called Morsel Corporation MDM
try booting it by powering it off, holding the home button, and plugging the computer in. (keep holding home button until it shows a computer on the screen) then try to reset using finder
It says Successfully Restore but MDM is still there on my ipad 8 gen IOS 14. MDM was from a Pharmaceutical company. Any idea what went wrong. Kinfly help
Can anyone verify as of 10/24/24 this is still working? The file "unexpectedly" crashes right before install. My Mac is up to date as well as the iPad. Any help would be appreciated! I did try both the links. Same issue.
Hey whats up, im currently running macOS monterey from a partition. I was successfully able to disable SIP but it still gives me the crash report saying that SIP is still enabled. Please help ive tried everything and this is the closest ive been from disabling MDM
hm. if you can, try using an older version of Macos. if you are running Sonoma it may not be supported. latest Ive tried it on is Ventura. if your using an M1/M2 Mac it likely isn't supported at all
Nope. The MDM is what installs those apps. By removing the MDM profile the ipad has no idea it's supposed to download them. You can install all the apps from the app store though.
No. MDM is something schools or organisations set up to prevent people from using the device other than what its supposed to be used for. iCloud lock is a lock to prevent you from stealing something from someone and making it so you can’t use it.

Yes and no. It will be removed from the device, but if you try to do a factory reset, the serial number will connect with the servers and try to install it again. until you reset it it will stay removed

What if my Mac when booted, only shows the option for Macintosh ur and not recovery hd?

Can you uninstall it then install it back on after a period of time, like a back up of the mdm
