Idk if someone has explained it already, but Kindred (the character tryndamere was fighting) is the embodiment of 'Memento Mori'. Its most popular line is "Embracing life, means accepting death" and I think you would absolutely love them as a character with their lore.
It's literal death. Lamb is peaceful death, for those who accept it, and wolf is brutal death, hunter, who chases those who try to escape/fight death.
@@Craftee6 Also why Lamb is just "casually" shooting Trynd and not really trying too hard - she's just offering him the quick death - while Wolf has fun tearing down when they fight back

Memento Mori means "Remember that you must die" in latin. its an item, object, or phrase, to remind oneselves of ones own mortality. You are using the expression wrong. Kindred is death. Literal Grim reaper. In literary science, you would call it a "personification" of death. An abstract concept given personage.
Memento Mori however is something else. For example, the "Sword of Damocles" as told by roman philosopher Cicero, popylarized by Seneca. A story of Prince Damocles who was jealous of his father, King Dionysus, claiming being king would be easy, to have that power would be easy. King dionysus said fine, you my son will be king for a day. When Prince Damocles ascended the throne that day, the king had hung the prince's sword, hanging above the throne tied only with a single horsehair. The prince said "How the hell can I be king, when at any moment the sword may fall and kill me?" King Dionysus said: Now you know, what you need to, to be king. The Sword of damocles as well as the story I just told you, are both examples of memento mori. A mortal reminder.
@@markus4732 There is a deeper meaning behind lamb shooting there, too. The reason he is fighting both of them (and the reason he even goes after kindred) is because of his undying rage. Kindred shot at him because Tryndamere was ready to accept death, while Wolf was fighting because Tryndamere's rage wouldn't let him die peacefully.
Lambs' head tilt has stumped a fair few people, but if you think of it this way, she probably couldn't understand why Tryndamere would go after the "kind" spirit, the one offering the peaceful death.
She is the part of the spirit that has intelligience, but cannot understand emotion, while wolf is the opposite; can't understand reason or thought process, but follows his primal urges and emotions. Hence the head tilt, she cannot understand why tryndamere would be so angry as to try and attack her.
Xaryu needs to go back and watch The Call.

Pretty cool that everytime Trynd pops his ult he has to fight Kindred and the wolf just to survive lmao. Adds a layer of complexity to a character I thought was originally pretty boring. Yasuos death scene was kinda unexpected. But pretty sure this trailer represents the past,future and present in league lore.

i mean its not like its a feature only tryndamere has. the last scene is basically kindred coming when they sense someone is close to dying. kindred isnt literally fighting him but its a metaphor for him fighting the skeleton soldiers. the last kindred arrow was him dying from those 2 skeletons before ash killed them hence saving his life. kindred instantly disappeared. if trynd was actually fighting kindred he would die every single time. what im trying to say every champion that is close to dying would "fight" kindred. its not literal as u present it.
@@seeker7324 I know he’s technically fighting the soldiers that were around him at the start of the cinematic rather then kindred. Just like how Yasuo wasn’t fighting kindred but accepted her arrow at the end. Kindred is a Riots version of the grim reaper and he was fighting of death. So in a sense they were fighting.

Yesssssssss!!!!! Xaryu I'm not much of a stream watcher but ever since hardcore I've been loving your content on youtube. I'm a big league player and pretty new to WOW, though I used to play in mop when I was little and didnt really understand anything lol. What I'm trying to say is that you should def atleast play couple of games of league with rav would be a really fun watch.
League's music and animation teams are always ON POINT. Just wish the game was as fun xD

This cinematic is a representation of the past present and future. At the very beginning we see Tryndamere laying on the ground and he sees a faint glimpse of kindred (this will be important later). Then the first battle scene is in the past in ancient Demacia (we are talking over 1000 years ago) and we see the two sisters Kayle and Morgana who together both make the aspect of justice, basically they are both the god of justice, Morgana judges and Kayle punishes. We see Kayle and Morgana fighting Aatrox who is a darkin (darkin is a corrupted god warrior and Aatrox is the only cannonical person to kill an aspect being the aspect of war pantheon). Past them fighting I am unsure of why they are fighting each other I would assume it is part of the Darkin War which started due to the emperor of Shurima Azir dying and all the God warriors went corrupt and turned into the Darkin and they all vied for power with the two strongest being Aatrox and Xolaani.
The samurai on the spot is yasuo and he has a really up and down character development but at his elderly age we can see that he intentionally delivers neutralizing blows rather than killing blows however after a certain point he realizes that he has to use the wind powers and that concentration moment before he picks up the sword is actually him having a moment of sorrow because he realizes there is no other choice (he used the wind to kill people in the past and was acused of killing his master etc so he probably doesnt want to use it). Another detail is that the way he fights is actually very precise given the mastery he has. Additionally, even if he uses the wind powers, which he used to kill people before, he still doesnt kill everyone and just renders them unconscious. Another detail is that when he raises his face and we see his face under the edge of the hat and the camera pans back to them, you can notice that they actually stop for a minute suspecting the farmer is actually a former legendary icon of the region. Finally you can see him accepting death at the end and a white arrow hitting (grim reapers arrow) him. This is specifically intresting because he could have used the windwall again to stop his death but he instead knocked the leader with a wind strike which is strongly displaying the conclusion of his character development which is related to honor and stuff.
Finally we are in the present and we return to Tryndamere, the fact that he saw a glimpse of Kindred at the start of the cinematic its no surprise he is fighting them becasue Kindred is LoL's version of death, a lamb (the white on with a bow) for a painless death for those who embrace death and a wolf (the large black one) for a painful death to those who choose to run or fight. Since Tryndamere is fighting Kindred we know he is close to death at this point, when his eyes go red he enters "undying rage" so basically he becomes so angry he cannot die. Plot twist Tryndamere is seeing Kindred and thinking he is fighting Kindred when in fact he was figthing the people who were surrounding him.
Then we see Kindred lower her bow and 2 blue arrows fly past Kindred and we see Ashe emerge and Kindred disappear, meaning Ashe saved Tryndamere from death. Also side note Ashe is Tryndamere's wife.
All these cinematics will hit so hard when LoL MMORPG comes out.

after arcane season 2 i would love a freljord series where we can get some good tryndamere and ashe stuff. my guess with the mmo is it probably wont be out til 2026 maybe end 2025 but yeah if it has cinematics as good as this in the game then its going to be insane

It has taken me a few watches, and I now realize, this is a masterpiece of storytelling, unlike anything we've been able to see before in entertainment for gaming, or hollywood for that matter. Masterful art, masterful storytelling. Everytime I see this cinematic I get brought in deeper.

Oh there is a lot. League started with very basic lore, they just invented simple story cuz u gotta have one, but they've been adding more and more to the story and building it over the years. Now it's quite complex story.@@Jetbullet777

I love everything about League of Legends, except League of Legends. Legends of Runeterra, Arcane, and Ruined King are all fire. The character design and lore are fantastic, and their music videos (especially KDA) and cinematics are always amazing.
Just a shame that LoL, the game itself, is awful.

I think league itself is actually a really good game (I guess it boils down to whether MOBAs are your cup of tea), it's the playerbase that is the problem. Winning in ranked remains the biggest dopamine hit I've experienced in gaming, which is actually why I think the players become actually feral when they think you're the reason they're losing. Essentially they're (or we're) all junkies that are lashing out at people we think are denying us our fix.
the game is pretty great lol, there is a lot of vitriol between teammates especially in ranked, but the game itself is clearly doing well and very popular because, well, it's GOOD and FUN.
@@notmyname12 Agreed. The game itself isnt bad at all, it does what a moba should do and really well. The community though is toxic beyond all to the point that they had to make it so you get chat restricted for saying things like "poop"

Because every year league gets a new season which means new cinematic... and it shows more of the world of league and people just love it man. I'm looking forward to the league mmo in whatever many years it will take.

Basically the lore, in-game shenanigans is completely different than their lores and such. That's why people are hype about the upcoming League MMO due to how good and fleshed out the lore is @@hieloz
@@hieloz League has a HUGE lore. The in-game characters and the League world, called Runeterra, have a lot of stories written about them, and the cinematics a lot of times shows these stories. People who play League and know about the lore can identify all the little details about the characters stories and personalities in these type of videos. The lore is always getting bigger, with new stories being posted by Riot, new characters being released (and their biography), new cinematics and also with Arcane, the Netflix series.
This is NOT how you watch league cinematic.. all that artistry went through the window
