    Play 73 years old from Nova Scotia Canada and I used to make glue glass back in the 60s 70s and 80s here in Halifax Nova Scotia loved it enjoyed it and still would like to do it but getting too old good job I love yourself

    I just discovered tour channel I gave you a like and subscribed I'm an glass painter and I work with acid. Glue chipping and that Victorian style of sign writing is a fascination.

      @@ARTyRV I used to have ideas for glass chip in different settings, mostly around sandblasted lettering, but then I've never had a client that needed something like that so the idea just got away.

    Hide glue was used in "model" ship building, but not real ships that actually go in the water. It always remains water soluble.
    It is NOT waterproof even fully cured. Moisture will always melt it.
    It was used primarily on wooden furniture kept indoors.

    I have rabbit skin glue I use for oil painting, would that be acceptable? Its pellet form n must be cooked- but someone told me I needed "pearl glue"

    Very interesting concept and process Guys... Since I'm new to this, I wasn't too sure about why one would do this but I Googled it and looked at a variety of examples and boy this is something...!!! Cant wait to see what you do with this... Will you cut this the same as you do with regular glass? Ed I saw a lot of air blowing around in your shop on the video... When you mix the glue and water together do you need a lot of ventilation when you do this process? I'm thinking that with the glass and glue combination, that you'll have to use a wider foil... Right? Or a wider led Came? Thanks for the video...!

      The glue pops off so it is all 1/8 after it chips off. The fans are keeping us cool. Yes some ventilation is good.

    entire cook time 1 hour, or cook for 1 hour after it reaches 140 degrees? Very cool!

      Yes cook for one hour at 140.

      I'm guessing my glue will dry faster here in the southwest desert. Today's humidity is 4%. Thanks for the fast reply!

    Been having trouble getting the glue to lifting off the glass it's been cracking and grabbing but no lift. I don't think I heated my glue to 145 degrees. Could that be my problem ?
