    Thank you for these videos. My grandpa passed away a few days ago. He made beautiful stained glass pieces. He started a piece for my grandma but died before he could finish it. So I'm watching all these videos to learn how to do this so I can finish the piece he started for her. So far, you've given me hope that I might actually be able to do this.

    Picking up stained glass again after 30 years. Lots of good reminders in your video. I was especially interested in how you cut out the pieces of the birds when you had them placed so close together. I would have never tried the "I got it cut" at the throat of the bird. I would grind it out! I will try to cut a tight inside curve now. Thank you for your help!

    Thanks for the info I got my first grinder back in June and have been working with it a lot I was using a hand sander that I got at Walmart and I still use it from time to time when I have a big job to work on but 90 0/0 of the time I use my grinder also I was working with leather and have a tool that I would do the ends of the leather and have been using it when I put the tape on the glass also I found a better way to get the tape by laying it with the sticky side up and putting the glass in the middle I can keep it straight. I am looking into black Penta. Sorry if I didn't get the name right. Can you show everyone just how to apply it for I am still new at stained glass and always looking for tips to make my work look better. Thanks again for all your help.

I do have one suggestion. Is it possible to zoom in your camera to focus more closely on the work when you are teaching cuts and foiling etc. It is difficult to see what you’re actually doing from the distance of your current camera settings.

      Maybe you could buy a saw. It would be cheaper to redraw tbe pattern. Also that cut creates a weak point in the glass.

    • @ARTyRV
      @ARTyRV  3 года назад +1

      Pull off the first few layers of that copper foil and see if it’s still good. The air will oxidize the foil. Keep in a ziplock bag to prevent that from happening. Cold shouldn’t make a difference but the heat may. Maybe just keep the foil inside the house in a ziplock in summer. Let us know on that. Congratulations on learning that new cutting skill!
