The tune, for those wondering, is The Piobaireachd (pea-brock) of Donald Dhu.

No one and I mean no one,can out march or parade like the Brits- even when they are returning to their barracks they outshine all other militaries- the British Marines are second to none- as a former US Army soldier who has seen his share of US marines and army parades, the Brits are head and shoulders above us-

I used to hate bagpipes as a child, they sounded so Shrill and nonsensical. As an adult, I can not tell you how much this makes my heart swell with pride. God I love them.

The tuning of pipes has changed over the years. When I first played, mumble years ago, they had their own scale, so to speak; but they've gradually moved closer to conventional tuning, enabling them to play on concert with other instruments.

Amazing! This raises an historical question: when was the last time a massed P&D had three Drum Majors in state dress?
