Report by Iain Jones.
Possibly the most moving and emotional part of the whole procession . Well done to the organizers !
I thought the most moving part was when they moved The Queen from Westminster Palace to the Abbey 😢😢😢
I was really moved by it 😭💯🌹🕯🇬🇧
God the sound of those bag pipes was special. Absolutely unforgettable ❤️
As a Scot myself, can any sound on earth thrill the soul like the skirl of the bagpipes en masse?!
By far my favorite of everything. This is very moving. Aussie watching from the U.S. With love to Her Royal Majesty the Queen.
RIP Your Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll with love from Australia 🇦🇺

Great thing to watch! Elizabeth The Great -who came in as a Young Queen and has left us as a World respected leader who will also be remembered as “The Queen..” Everybody knew her! She served her people!
Such majesty and regality !! The Massed Pipes and Drums lift us beyond the ordinary to an exalted state, one certainly befitting our Queen Elizabeth R
Totally Amazing. Royal Navy, Brilliant!! Wish that the clip of the bagpipes was longer. No Words.....❤🇬🇧❤
Can I just say this was beyond spectacular! I was down the Mall from 4am and how I wish these marvellous men could have marched down the Mall too!
🏴❤️🏴❤️ proud Scot. I served with the 1st Battalion Queens Own Highlanders 🏴
They looked and sounded just so Amazing, that set me of straightaway.

The mighty men of Scotland, unbeatable with the English at their backs.

Out of interest what was the pipe tune the pipers and drummers played as they left?
I need to know too 🤞
High road to gairloch
@@frederickwilson8189 thanks Frederick
Skye boat song bagpipes and drums
It’s called The Mist Covered Mountains of Home. This is the tune the pipers and drummers played as they left.
Amen
It's makes you proud to be Scottish them pipes but I'm spainish
Is there a full video of the pipes and drums leaving the barracks?
It's on bbc i player
7New Australia have a clip on here of it ....lost count how many times I have watched it .....in tears every time ,so moving and magnificent.
Its on the Royal family channel. The state funeral of her majesty the Queen. About 2 hrs 45 in
Does anyone know what tune the Pipers started to play? It was awesome?
Not sure but I think it's one of these you're looking for:
"high road to Gairloch" or "Chì mi na mòrbheanna" (The Mist Covered Mountains of Home) or
"mo dhachaigh" (My Home)
@@alistaircampbell4446 Yes indeed, High Road to Gairloch
Chills
So missed.
Does anyone have a longer version of this, tried looking but can't find it ?
Me too - because of the live TV coverage aspect, the playing and activities of this incredible Massed Pipes and Drums has been sorely underexposed.
Somebody somewhere has more on mobile phone at least...
Who are the English drum major
What is the song that the Massed Pipes & Drums begin playing @ 2:21? It was stirring!
High Road to Gairloch
@@sidpheasant7585 Thank you!!!
Does anyone know what the massed pipes and drums played as the procession commenced>
I copied this from someone else, hope it helps.
it's "high road to Gairloch", when the pipers joined the procession with the gun carriage and the Queen it then became "the mist covered mountains of home"
Wow
Dreadful coverage really. Camera turns away just as the band begins to play. Where else are you going to find a greater sound and spectacle than that?
ME TO 🎖
Meanwhile in the US…..How can we incorporate gender pronouns?
These guys were incredible-They absolutely brought it.
The sound of the Massed Pipes and Drums stirs the soul and brought a tear to my eye - well done to our Armed forces and those of the Commonwealth who made us feel so very proud today ❤️ .
Ditto. I'm American and the sound of bagpipes freezes me in one spot. they should have led the whole procession to the church and the final place where is Queen is buried. This clip has been shortened.
YES , you are right & Correct in all that you have stated !! --- John UK
Look at these men and women of the armed forces so very proud of them.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Me too ㅡ 🌸 경이롭다 💭💭🌱🌱🌿
Makes me proud to be British.
Me too.❤🤍💙
You have every reason to be proud and my condolences from California for the loss of the Queen. Some small consolation that she is very happy now with her husband, parents, sister, and her many dogs and horses over there.
The sound of the footsteps as one; the pipers spanning the road; the trees above; then the sound. It broke me, in a good way.
What a beautiful send off, all were amazing but the pipers were not only fantastic to hear but looked amazing too ❤
Couldn't agree more. I still get goosebumps watching it back.
I'm not British. I was planning and having a short look and get back to work. But this.. The Pipes and drums, I don't think I have ever been moved by a sight and sound like this.
God bless everyone coming together at this sad time. With love from Victoria Australia.
Fellow commonwealth friend
Makes me so proud to be British! No matter the current situation in the country I will always be proud of my English and Scottish heritage! 🏴🏴🇬🇧❤️
@denisebond1319 well said
Someone show the full video of this epic show. The Drums were amazing and inspirational. Then the pipes came in. We must get the full version of leaving the barracks.
The massed pipes and drums are something to behold
Unbelievable sight and sound.
Total respect.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard and seen anything so magnificent RIP 🇬🇧
Very true sir
How can you watch that and not be proud I am writing this with tears flowing down my face
And so, we now reach the final day of everything that transpired only 10 days ago . . . A day which will culminate in historical terms for many decades or centuries to follow . . . Luckily for many, they can be there in person to see it happen, or be able to watch it on TV or online to remember this event in person . . . It is indeed the end of an era . . . God Speed to you your Majesty Queen Elizabeth II . . .
All the Scottish and Irish Regiments. Plus the Gurkhas and RAF pipes and drums.
Rest in peace our Queen..our love for you will never fade - from Philippines
For Scots living overseas the sight of the mass pipes and drums in the funeral proceedings was superb and very emotional. Thank you. Well done everyone.
The queen’s mum was Scottish, right? Descended from the Royal House of Scotland
Also
“Her parents shared a common ancestor in Robert II, King of Scots. Through her father King George VI she was directly descended from James VI of Scotland.”
Anywhere where I can find the full video of these men playing the pipes and drums? Absolutely unreal
Yes just put in procession from Westminster hall too Westminster abbey and it should come up!
BBC i player
Its on the Royal family channel. The state funeral of her majesty the Queen about 2hrs45 in. Enjoy!!!
Look up on RUclips and as been said before " Queen Elizabeth II coffin from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey "
Rest In Peace my Queen. It was a pleasure and honour to serve you as a member of the Royal Australian Air Force. 🇦🇺
Gif bless the late Queen Elizabeth the 11 for ever. She was the hardest working woman ever. She worked up until she got sick at age 96. What a job. When most people get a chance to retire, she didn’t. She had to be available for her duties always. What a way to give up one’s life. Forever HRH Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. Rest in peace now! God bless you.
Smart turn out from the Royal Navy.
I am an ex-Royal Marine Commando (Retired) and have Marched proudly in my Blues with our Band several times. THIS was Spine tingling Stuff!! Awesome Display of Military Precision for the Queen. Those Pipers were Truly Awesome, Spine Tingling, those white Boots moving menacingly in Perfect Time. Would you want to face that lot in Battle??? A Fantastic display. Only the British could ever do this stuff. Awesome!! To every single man and woman partaking, take a Massive Bow you deserve it. Those really young Naval Ranks were Amazing, some of them only in Service three months it was Staggering the way they carried our Queen on the Gun Carriage. It didn't come over on Camera but Constitution Hill is one Big Challenge doing something like that, they were Truly Brilliant. Made me feel so Proud to be British. Thank you all.
Il n'y a pas à dire cela à de la gueule. Adieu reine Elizabeth. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇵
One of the best things that the British isles and peoples (England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales) gave to the world: the Scottish High Land bag pipes. Love from the Philippines. 🇵🇭✝️🇬🇧
It’s the roar of the bagpipes as they start ❤
It was magnificent. Absolutely magnificent.
I still watch it what a wonderful sight it sends tingles down my spine
AWESOME
God save the queen👑
Very well done
Please upload all of then marching. Please I cant find it anywhere. The bbc covered it brilliantly
Sad saying goodbye to our Queen 👑💂🇬🇧🙏
What tune did the mass pipes play
RIP your majesty Queen Elizabeth. Thank you for your service 🙏🏻
The days since the 8th of September have been unforgettable.
This American is still in disbelief that Elizabeth ll, Queen of Great Britain is gone.
The funeral ceremony, following the procession, the citizens lining the route, tossing flowers in front of the hearse bearing the beloved Queen....all of it an absolutely perfect, beautiful, ceremony to say goodbye to a dedicated, wise, and kind Monarch.
Nobody does ceremonies better than the British, this was spectacular.
Condolences on the loss of HMTQ Elizabeth ll who reigned for 70 years.
❤️
Bless you mate 👍
I loved these guys! So moving !
Beautiful music
Yup
High Road to Gairloch
Great way to send the beloved Queen off. She would have been so proud to see such a sight.
Can anyone tell me the name of the melody played by the Irish and Scottish regiments as they led the gun carriage procession this morning?
Frederick answered on my query "high road to Gairloch"
@@karimsukkar7398 Thank you
I’d like to know the other tune
@@karimsukkar7398 that’s not the tune. Need to find the other and learn it
@@grantrobbo think there's a few as later on there was the Skye Boat and mist in the mountains
Pipe bands made it very special ❤
I love bagpipes and drums
The moment the bagpipes started playing to start the procession was profound. The emotions went into full gear.
Can't find it anywhere now unfortunately.
There is a clip on RUclips from 7News Australia . It is only the first part with The Navel Detachment and Pipes and Drums....I was magnificent !
Impressive. Thank you to all the members of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom.
(Does anybody know what the bagpipe music is called starting at 2:30?)
High road to Gairloch.
The most moving thing I've ever seen 😭🌹🕯🇬🇧 And Emma the Pony 🥰😭
Anyone know the tune list they played
In this clip at 2:20 the tune is High Road to Gairloch. When the coffin brought from the chapel to the cathedral for the funeral service they will play two slow marches, Mist Covered Mountain and Mull of the Mountains. At Windsor for the committal I hear Flowers of the Forrest.
Massed pipes and drums Scottish and Irish regiments
2:16 The sight is dramatic, historic, stirring, beautiful.
this was well performed and well timed and to see the thousands of mouners turned out to see the coffin on her final journey
Stirring stuff indeed. Plus, if I were unfortunate enough to be fighting the buggers, you wouldn't see me for dust 😆
Has wellington nothing to offer me but these amazons?
So proud of all the armed forces and thankful for what they do. This was truly one of the highlights of the day of which they were many. Who knew I would feel bereft about Queen Elizabeth’s passing? I don’t understand it but it feels very real.
Everyone on parade did the Queen and Country proud, a moment they will never forget and cherish for the rest of their lives.
Disciplina y sincronizacion perfecta.
makes me proud thank you
sad day for the Whole of the United Kingdom, ever present throughout mine and my Dads life, God Bless You Ma'am, GSTQ!!!!!
England rules the world
Das war grosses Kino ❤️
Almost primeval .
There is nowhere in the world past or present that does this better.
The two sailors in the middle fkd it up 1:40
Haha yes. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me.
