Did you format the usb and did you wipe the hard drive before installing sonoma? Only asking because other tutorials do that and I haven’t tried this yet.
It would not create the sonoma OS start up disk because i am running Yosemite on the computer... do i need to download the start disk from another computer?
I also use mine as a windows PC monitor, will the thunderbolt still work with this OS?

I keep getting the following message when trying this on my imac 'open core error Storage system verify or repair failed. : (-69716)' any ideas?
If your really daring, you can start it in recovery, format the disc then reboot into the boot manager and install from the usb created in this process.
Does it update apps etc
Nope, have to do that yourself
