I'm more inclined to believe that Ruin is putting on a facade by acting like everything is all hunky-dory so that it doesn't attract the attention of Solstice and Nexus. You can tell that despite choosing to go to their pocket dimension on his own accord, he knows they're up to no good. As a result, Ruin likely has a plan to stop those two. Whether or not it's the most ideal plan is up for debate. Ruin right now feels like he's a whistleblower of some sort.

So a lot of people are saying Ruin needs Sun’s code because of his wither shard ability, which is a very plausible theory, but there’s one little detail that makes me think that maybe that ability is _not_ what Ruin is after.
Sun’s ability to find wither shards is linked to his *_magic_* and not his code, and as far as I know, when a robot has magic, they’re either born with it like Freddy, or learn it like Sun and Moon did.
So there must be something else that’s a part of his code that Ruin wants; something that was there even before he and Moon split.
The question is, what could that be?
I agree with you and I was searching for a comment like this, because many people wrote that he needs It, because of the whither shards, but If It was even linked to his codes he would have felt the headaches a long time ago and I don't really think Ruin would have told Nexus or Dar Sun about Sun's ability. Solar's good and a smart brave mechanic. Canon Eclipse is a wonderful angel. That's why I choose to trust Eclipse and Ruin don't hurt him, just let him do one thing right.

Oh that's who Molten sensed, Ruin. And he wants Sun's code for something? I'm guessing something to stop Dark Sun? Because if Dark Sun's master plan is way worse than the Creator's, and the fact that Ruin said without a piece of Sun's code to possibly stop Dark Sun, could end up in more misery? Cause if that's the case then Ruin might end up saving this dimension from imminent doom. But as we know, we won't know until we cross that bridge and hopefully Sun's code that Ruin has now will be put to good use in stopping another threat from progressing. But one step at a time.

in this episode, I have a feeling that ruin is being scared into doing what he’s told to do because at first he didn’t seem afraid of death. In fact he taunted it however, now it’s very clear that he’s afraid of it. I think dark sun or Nexus are torturing him or belittling him. He seems genuinely scared and nervous I think ruin at first didn’t think that they were gonna do anything and he would be able to leave and go back to the celestial family but now it seems like he realizes that he’s put himself into a very sticky situation like he genuinely did care about the celestial family he doesn’t know what it feels like to be loved.
