Super helpful video
Aloha I have a 23 3/4 inch balance the number is 163 - these are installed at the top of the window frame not on the sides the window was basically installed sideways so the wheels run vertical in the side tracks - w the balance mechanism in the upper most part or the frame. The windows open sliding up to the mounted balance -it looks like someone make shifted these as they only have one balance per window- there are two windows exactly the same design. There are no balances on the sides of the windows- only one per window at the top w the string attached to the window frame on the part that moves up and down not the fixed glass section-thx
good information guys
What do I do if the window is missing the channel balances?
If the window is missing both channel balances, you can start by checking other identical windows in your home to start the identification process.
HI, I have what is called here in FM, FL. Hurricane windows; Very heavy. I have that the spring popped out, it is a double spring 3/8 outside? 1/4 inside. I could not find numbers the window size is 30x51. Any idea?
Hi there Juan. We can help you find the right balance at the link below. We'll need the length of the metal channel, a picture of the top and bottom attachments, and any numbers stamped into the metal channel. If there are no numbers, you'll need to weigh the sash. www.swisco.com/page-id-part
I have a balance that has a stamp of 2950 and is 29.5 inches long without the plastic clips on the ends and with it it’s 30”. I found a 30” length that has a 2950 stamp but it’s showing it as being 30 inches long and not 29.5 long. Do you carry half inch lengths?
