I’m curious your approach to the Ultimate Journey event? You mentioned it’s a crystal sink for you, but I don’t think you’ve ever talked about it except in brief asides like this. Personally, I spend enough crystals to get up to 4800 currency, which is enough to buy the omicrons out of that shop every week. What are you doing?

I have not been keeping track of how much I've been spending on it, but I expect it will be dropping soon, i like to keep most of my currencies near max, with this last ultimate journey i am now near max. With 6 GLs, it looks like I'm spending something in the neighborhood of 3000 crystals each occurrence. And I buy all the omis every week.
What I mean by that remark is the event itself functionally is as a crystal sink, not so much that it is one for me personally. What CG is trying to do, is to give players enough uses for their crystals that hoarding as a practice becomes extremely difficult.
Between Bonus Drops, Double Drops, Ultimate Journey, Conquest, Chases, etc. There is enough pressure on our crystal income that choosing to spend crystals in places for a F2P player is difficult, since all my crystals really need to go towards those events.
But relatively recently, it was much easier to spend crystals in weekly shipments on items like Gyrda Keypads, but with all of the crystal pressure these past few months, i have not bought any Gyrda Keypads
So while from one vantage point these things can look generous on one part, it also makes things like R9 functionally more difficult by increasing the difficulty of crystal hoarding

@@StillPlays Interesting - thanks! I have 7 GLs, so i think I'm spending 2250 crystals each month on refreshes to get my 4800 shop currency. Definitely a new sink.

how should i decide if i should put relics or keep at g11 or 12

I approach this differently than most, so keep that in mind,
But I'm actively trying to not relic characters unless i have to, i want to maintain flexibility, so i can pivot quickly since kyros and signal data are so precious. If you see my GACs, I nearly always have the fewest relics in my brackets
There's a methods video on my relic philosophy that is a bit dated at this point but still generally gets onto the main ideas.
But the way i would prioritize relics.
      1. Key characters that have a huge impacts (conquest, journey, etc)
      2. Needed for function or counters
      3. Attackers and Tanks
      4. characters needed to fill out a squad for a good datacron or are on a critical squad.
And otherwise I ease into it Healer and support characters can generally function very well at g11/12.
A relic needed for function is a characters like Dark Trooper or (i suspect) STAP, who just arent very helpful below relics.
And the reason i do this is because I find far more value in being able to gear up new characters quickly, so new characters get kyros, instead of giving old characters kyros for relics.
