Don't you just hate it when you are placed right in front of the percussion section. I always got stuck in front of the tympani. At least when I played bass trombone I was on the back row, behind the saxophones. In Dance band the same thing unless I was in front of the trap set when playing 4th if I had to play first I was directly in front of the solo trumpet. Thats hard ears for sure. All that was missing from the concert was a good old Circus march to loosen up your fingers and so you could practice your double and triple tonguing. My problems with the concert were intonation and lack of dynamics.
