What do you mean, not historical? This was a beautiful representation of a top secret Vichy French commando operation against the Soviet hinterlands around the Black Sea, organized by Abwehr in 1942. Marc Felton is going to make a video about it before you know. ;)
Another fun Battle, the banter around the dice throws keeps it real. When you toss in some rules discussion/review and strategy it becomes the real deal! thanks for taking the time to keep your channel fun. Have a great day!
Great battle report as always! My idea for the scenario is that possibly the Soviets are attacking a French Middle Eastern colony, such as Syria, having possibly struck a more decisive deal with the Germans and moving through Turkey
Love these batreps. If you want to go semi-historical, here's an idea; Italy vs Japan. Italy had a few possessions in China, but after '43 they were the enemy. Even though they had no tanks I would love to see either L6/40 vs Type 95 HaGo or M13/40 vs Type 97 ChiHa. Other than that, keep up the good work.
In that last assault the French should have had a tough fighter roll because of the pistol armed assistant. That might have made all the difference for glorious France!
Awesome game 🎉 would be really nice to see such „random“ game! Anyway due to the French were in Aerea Terrain so they should have fought simultaneously…. Redo redo ↪️ 😅
I've played Surrounded! a couple of times and it's brutal. The last time all the action took place in a 12" corner of the board - units were being wiped out pretty much each go. Arty doesn't fair well in this scenario either as you found out! Dice advantage is key to this for sealing sides per turn to forestall backdoor advance and shoot :)
Great job as always, I'm laughing trying to figure out how the Russians got that big gun up on the roof. My son, (who plays Russians, among others) says "A lot of conscripts"
Just for information, you can can describe the tank as a somwa (long o as in domination, wa as in the subs' favourite comment) and you will be pretty close

Actually this is red versus blue. 😂

I think he may be right!
Beautiful game
Sounds like a good Command and Conquer Red Alert scenario to me. Soviets invading French Syria perhaps?
I could see that.
I could see that
Is the French 75 a light or medium Howitzer ?
I played it as a medium howitzer in this game. Paid the points for it.

Somwa. Got it!
@@tabletopcp Well you had, for a short time.
Forgot to ask. What size table do y’all play on?
It’s a standard 6x4 board
@@tabletopcp ok cool! That’s what I use.
