- Today's blind tasting will stump even the Master Somms. Why? Well, it's because this wine doesn't fit the mold, it's a natural wine. But we can learn a lot about it without knowing what it is.

2020 Old World Winery "Impulse Red" North Coast, CA
This natural wine blends 74% Merlot, 19% Petite Sirah, and 7% Chardonnay to create an explosively aromatic red with notes of Fragrant Rose, Blueberry, Sour Cherry, Mushroom, and Sour Patch Kids.
It's lighter bodied, but definitely fruity and well-balanced. It's part of the Wine Folly Club: Join Wine Folly club → wfol.ly/club

Thank you so much 😀
Fascinating. The Chardonnay component was totally unexpected. Thanks for not making us guess! 🍷
Thanks for not having us try to guess this one. It's definitely a wacky wine, but it's also cool.
Blending some white grapes into a red blend used to be pretty common practice. I' m glad to see that it hasn't died out.😂
Old World winery in a new world wine region.. Sounds philosophical
Did not have a clue about this one. Very unusual blend!
Awesome video. I'm going to pick up a few thanks to you!
Very interesting 🧐 Happy tasting 🥂
My first thought is: a Randall Grahm Mendocino field blend!
WAHHHH-wahhhh....
Interesting wine, though!
Just bought your book, going on a wine journey 🍷
very cute top
❤
I'm confused when people speak of the fragrance of blueberries. Usually they have no smell, at least with the skins on. What kind of smell are you referring to when you speak of blueberries?
Secret sauce=Chard😮
