I love it so much .I've always had that kind of relationship with my mom and my 16 yr daughter and I are the same . We also take a girls trip every summer to Padre Island for 2 weeks and we have a blast . So I just love seeing other girls have such close relationship with their mom. Scientifically the bond between mother and daughter is the strongest bond humans can have even stronger than the spouse relationship. I just saw a thing about that and really they were so right.

Crochet tip: wrist pain is all about the yarn, hook, and posture. Acrylic yarn is a lot stretchier (than cotton specifically) which helps your hand take less strain, like running on a track rather than on concrete. I've found that good hook with a squishy handle helps my right hand cramp less. And, when it comes to posture, I feel less sore when I crochet at a desk in a similar position to typing on a computer. Hunching over not only hurts your back, but it can put your arms into cramped positions that can make you sore.
I found myself laughing my ass off during the whole video and then suddenly tearing up because there is nothing more beautiful than having your mum as your best friend ❤️ and their relationship makes my heart warm ☺️🥰

I may be a bit late but I recommend like putting a foam stress ball/tennis ball/ large beauty blender on the hook and holding it makes it really nice on the hand and wrist
Too funny!!😆 My grandma did crochet beautifully but she would have cried her eyes out at the outfits you had on lol Never thought I’d hear ‘crochet’ and ‘chaps’ in the same sentence 😆 Amazing talent for sure!

Here in jamaica back in my days at least in primary school they started teaching us kids how to crochet since the 4th grade. We all started on the granny squares but we call them easy squares and once you master that you move to more advanced techniques. Then we displayed them on heritage day with the other things we spent the year making like embroidery, baskets, belts, bags and other stuff. I'm going to buy some more supplies and start doing those again. Love the video!
I'm curious when you say "back in my days" how long ago do you mean? (My mother didn't get to learn crochet in primary school, so now I'm really interested if your experience was before or after hers 😊)
I aspire to become like your mom when I'll have my own kids one day ! How lucky to grow up with such a ray of sunshine of a mother 🥰 Absolutely loved this video ! You go girls ! More crochet ❤🙏 xxx
Susan Bates has ergonomic hooks that may help with your wrist. I'm pretty sure Micheals in Canada has them and they're packaging free to be environmentally friendly :) (My favorite yarn tools brand) There's also two different ways to hold a crochet hook, you can probably find a youtube video on this. Maybe whatever technique you aren't doing will work better.
My mom crocheted all my life and when my dad past away, she started making outfits for dolls and barbie's. My sisters and I have caught her falling asleep while crocheting and she finished the dress before she woke up. 😍😍😍
I just went on a Mia and Momma binge and I just absolutely love your relationship. It reminds me of my mom so much, and I just love seeing real reactions and real connections. Plus she is like a fine wine ♡♡♡
Hahahah you just revived the very old memory of shoving my stuff into a grocery bag and going to sleepovers for the majority of my childhood. I eventually became friends with a girl who was very smart with her allowance and she bought herself a sleepover SUITCASE. So extra. So genius. Her and I became best friends and I got my own suitcase at some point. we would carry SO much stuff to each others houses for 1 or 2 nights lol.
That beach bag is AMAZING!!! I never saw a crochet backpack ever. What a crazy and awesome idea! It would have been interesting to see Stu's reaction to that last one. Your Mom's was hilarious when you turned around.
I would love to see you style these in “wearable” looks with some layering / as separates! Like the top of that pink seat is screaming for a white turtleneck and a pink pleated skirt!
I've been crocheting for over 15 years. The pain in the wrist is common for new crocheters and is often due to not holding the wrist steady while you are crocheting. I would highly suggest looking up ways of holding a crochet hook because what works for one person may not work for you, same with holding the yarn. There are also wrist support braces you can look into getting and gloves made for people with arthritis that help. Also, thank you for supporting crocheters, it's very common for people to underesimate the time/effort and costs that goes into creating a crochet piece and a seller often deals with a lot of people who want something for nothing.
Mia! Im a crocheter and wrists hurting is totally normal ESCPECIALLY for a begginer! Once you get used to crocheting, your wrists get alittle better and you can crochet for longer! I RECOMMEND: Taking a few breaks here and there for your wrists and stretch them out then you can start again! You can also make sure to stop crocheting when your wrists start to hurt! ❤
Mia…hear me out. The pink chaps outfit is actually amazing on you. Like 11/10. Seriously. Don’t knock it girl. You’ve got it!! It’s out there without any doubt, but you can rock it for sure.
In my country there's a company named "ecocitex" that makes yarn from recycled clothes. I think it would be interesting to see you trying to make a crochet outfit out of that yarn!
I’ve been crocheting for about four years; it takes practice for you to keep the same tension throughout the project and consistency is what makes the pattern look nice :) stick with it!
🥺 i love this♥️ seeing Mia been more comfortable on camera.. i remember when she justifed in every try out video the blurred parts.. this makes me happy. Looking beautiful owning your body!! 💛✨
We need another video with more of their stuff! Seriously. There is soooo much she can do and in all different colors! She’s a small business based in Jamaica and she does everything herself. Everybody needs to go check her out while she’s taking commissions!
Girl, I have early onset arthritis so I feel ya. I completely had to stop coloring because of it. I sew and paint and have to wear a wrap wrist band and/or athletic tape on my wrist. I highly recommend athletic tape. It's magic.
The more I binge the more addicted I have become to Mia and Momma Maples this is a great channel I love this little lady she makes me crack a smile every video and she's just so CUTE and REAL, I love that most, the Canadian RUclips Princess that has not let royalty go to her head.
I absolutely love your mom, she’s the cutest person ever!! 🥺🥰 I always laugh when she’s in a video. 💖✨ Thank you for everything you do Mia, you honestly light up my days. ☺️ Stay safe and keep up with the amazing work you’ve been doing!
PLEASE do a video where you attempt/ and or actually make a crocheted crop top (Pinterest will help with letting you see what I mean)! But when I saw it I thought of you right away!! Maybe make it a competition between your mom & you!?
It would be so awesome if Mia reached out to Gunner Deathridge to do a wedding outfits collab with her. Mia could totally have a Project Runway moment. Gunner makes some gorgeous outfits.

Hunching over not only hurts your back, but it can put your arms into cramped positions that can make you sore.
(I should mention that a lot of my tips I learned from Le Petit Saint Crochet on RUclips. She has a lot of useful info!!)
this was really kind of you!! Good going
Omg I love how giggly her mom is, so cute
I found myself laughing my ass off during the whole video and then suddenly tearing up because there is nothing more beautiful than having your mum as your best friend ❤️ and their relationship makes my heart warm ☺️🥰
I was laughing non stop when Mia kept turning round to mama maples at the end, there laughs are so contagious 😂😂
Mia is just a big kid showing her mom outfits she threw together out of her costume basket 😂😂😂
I love it! It’s something I think we all aspire to do a little! It’s fun and funny. 🥰🤣
My aunt is a petty big published “design” creator in the crochet community. She’s always willing to help and give tips and tricks. I’d be more than happy to give you her info💗💗💗
Does she have en Etsy? I would love to see what she makes?
Is she petty or pretty big? 😂😂😂😂
The personality in this video 10/10… engaged Mia is literally hilarious
I LOOOOOVEEEEE mama maples laughter, especially when she bursts into laughter and it gets kind of gutural, as in min 6:53 ..... it makes me smile and be friends with her!!!! (I'm a 25 y/o guy but I'm such a mom on the inside haha)
As a crochet clothing artist I absolutely love hearing Mia talk about how much she loves and respects the art form!!
Also I have tendinitis so I usually wear a soft wrist brace and use thicker crochet hooks to help with that!
The last outfit was definitely the most out there one but it actually didn't look that bad. I agree that it would work at a rave or something like that. Your mom has a very awesome laugh it makes me start laughing with her . Thank you for being awesome Peace and love to you and your family 💙💚💙💚💙💚
I love mama Maples she’s such a good sport, she’s traumatized after the pink crochet chaps 🤣 I aspire to be like her and have good relationship with my two little girls.
I may be a bit late but I recommend like putting a foam stress ball/tennis ball/ large beauty blender on the hook and holding it makes it really nice on the hand and wrist
i just know that wildxdandi was so happy and excited with the amount of pieces mia purchased! wildxdandi deserves it tho they're so talented
Too funny!!😆 My grandma did crochet beautifully but she would have cried her eyes out at the outfits you had on lol Never thought I’d hear ‘crochet’ and ‘chaps’ in the same sentence 😆 Amazing talent for sure!
The chap set with the donut bag is everything! I noticed your Mom took the donut bag over immediately. You look cute in everything. I think the blue set would be adorable as a bathing suit cover up if you can detach the fringe sleeves without ruining it.
I just love you and your Mom together, she's just naturally hilarious. 😂💖💗💖
Mama Mia is ligit the most supportive, sweet and fun mom I've ever seen and I love love how much she loves and supports Mia!
Her moms laugh is so contagious!!! It makes me giggle inside
This is just Mia traumatizing Mama Maples for 20 minutes and I'm here for it! 😂
Mia: I won't turn around without warning
Also Mia turns around like 5 more times and flashes her mama maples 😂😂😂
Mama maples with the marketing tactics re the “fake swimsuit” idea. Love her. Her heart is just so golden.
I love your mom!! She’s so full of sunshine and brightens up everyone’s day!!! You clearly got that from her😊
I love how her mom literally gave every thing a ten out of ten.
When she would jump and turn, I laughed just as hard as her mom each time! It never got old, thank you for the big healthy chuckle. The outfits were really cute on you.
Mama Maples is a great sport! She laughs at everything and is endlessly supportive. It's nice to see you guys always having fun together.
When you came out in those fringe pants and were dancing while her eyes were still closed 🤣🤣🤣
I was having such a crappy weekend, but this literally made me go to bed with a smile on my face! I know one day you will get to have your dream of being on Drag Race as a judge, but in the mean time, I hope you keep entertaining us... with LATEX next! Hahaha
I love that Momma Maples has kept the donut purse on the entire time. Y’all are too cute! 💗💗
okay but mia's outfits that she wears for videos are always the cutest istg - like the red pants, white shirt and vintage floral corset thingy she was wearing in between the crochet outfits??? SO CUTE
The pink chaps were fun but when to turned around and revealed your butt to Mama Maples, killed me. I'm crying, laughing so hard, poor Mama Maples.
The finale was everything I needed to make this a good day 😂 Like holy crap it was craziness but I’m also so impressed by the skill of the creator??!
I love how Mia’s pranks are so tame like “my mom thinks these are gonna be CUTE but they’re actually CRAZY” and it’s the energy I need
Watching you with your mom makes me miss mine so so bad, 4 years without her is just so excruciating 💔💔💔
I aspire to become like your mom when I'll have my own kids one day ! How lucky to grow up with such a ray of sunshine of a mother 🥰 Absolutely loved this video ! You go girls ! More crochet ❤🙏 xxx
The second outfit is so Taylor Swift in her Lover era. I LOOOOVE IT
It reminds me so much of one of the dresses she wore to perform in the rep era
@@Alexia-vi7gp omg yes that os exactly what it reminded me of! The delicate dress
I know right
The fringe dress would make a cute swim suit cover, and love the crochet back pack.
“You look like a piñata or something”😂😂she’s not wrong you did lol it’s actually super cute👌
Susan Bates has ergonomic hooks that may help with your wrist. I'm pretty sure Micheals in Canada has them and they're packaging free to be environmentally friendly :)
(My favorite yarn tools brand)
There's also two different ways to hold a crochet hook, you can probably find a youtube video on this. Maybe whatever technique you aren't doing will work better.
My mom crocheted all my life and when my dad past away, she started making outfits for dolls and barbie's. My sisters and I have caught her falling asleep while crocheting and she finished the dress before she woke up. 😍😍😍
i'm just seeing pride looks all over this. the fringed pants and top with the hat was SUUUUUCH a good look
Oh wow! That is some extra crochet for sure. Definitely talented people out there. Everything always looks cute on you.
Momma maples is seriously a marketing genius and I can’t even with her cuteness, she gets a 10/10 for sure.
I love how momma maples immediately stole the donut purse 🤣 That was over her shoulder SO quick! Lol
I love the relationship between you and your mum! Seeing how genuinely happy and how much fun you have together is fantastic viewing! Xx
It is amazing that you can make crocheted chaps somehow wholesome.
So obsessed with Mia and her family!! They are such the sweetest! Also they both have the most gorgeous hair
Your mum is absolutely amazing love her in your vids 😂😂❤️❤️
Your sass was at a 10 on this one. We love your mama! Be extra sweet to her.
Mia: “I kinda feel like I’m wearing a muppet or something”
Mama Maples: “💡 that’s it!”
😆🤣
Mia…hear me out. The pink chaps outfit is actually amazing on you. Like 11/10.
Seriously. Don’t knock it girl. You’ve got it!!
It’s out there without any doubt, but you can rock it for sure.
“Oh my gosh..”
“That’s one” I died. Mia is so funny!! It’s so nice to see normal functional families with parents that raised their kids with love.
In my country there's a company named "ecocitex" that makes yarn from recycled clothes. I think it would be interesting to see you trying to make a crochet outfit out of that yarn!
The “piñata” pants look like those spiny things at car washes , respectfully 😂🧍🏽♀️
🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been crocheting for about four years; it takes practice for you to keep the same tension throughout the project and consistency is what makes the pattern look nice :) stick with it!
🥺 i love this♥️ seeing Mia been more comfortable on camera.. i remember when she justifed in every try out video the blurred parts.. this makes me happy. Looking beautiful owning your body!! 💛✨
You and your mom are total mom relationship goals
I wish my mom liked me & wanted to hang out with me like this❤
You’re so blessed
We need another video with more of their stuff! Seriously. There is soooo much she can do and in all different colors! She’s a small business based in Jamaica and she does everything herself. Everybody needs to go check her out while she’s taking commissions!
I AM DYING LAUGHING MAMA MAPLES! “I’m hooked on it” 😂😂😂
Momma maples is the cutest🤣
Mia's heartfelt "thank you!" after being called a piñata is everything I needed right now 😂
😇🤣😅
MIA YOU HAVE TO DO ONE OF THESE BUT HAVE STUART REACT ! I’m sure he would’ve loved the chaps 😂
Gunner or Official Hambly! ❤
Both are amazing sewers.
The fact being your Mum is soooo invested makes my heart warm. Especially your Dad. He looks annoyed but he's still there for you. Love it
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your mom!!! She has the sweetest, most unique, and contagious laugh! Anytime she is in one of your videos I have to watch it because I know without a doubt it will lift up my mood. She is the best as are you! The both of you have such a beautiful relationship!
Can we appreciate how cute Mia's shape is! She is getting some beautiful curves. Love the video! How awesome are these crochet artists! 😊👏🏾💜❤💛
omg i know right?? i was worrying about coming across as "weird" for mentioning it, but her body is looking amazing!! especially in that last outfit
@@blueberries408 it is weird lol
i loveee the corset top. also it would be amazing if mia was a judge on drag race (especially drag race canada)!! let’s make it happen 😤😤
You might consider looking for some ergonomic hooks and limiting your amount of crochet time at first. I found that helped a lot. Also heat or pain wraps
Loved seeing your personality shine through here mia.. I love the dynamic between u and your mum.. just feel good, pure pureness and I'm totally here for it
I love your relationship to your mom. You guys are so silly and wholesome
