As someone who doesn't have a good relationship with their mother, it's so inspiring to see such a beautiful relationship between Mia and Mama Maples. It's what I'd want to be if I become a mother someday - just not taking life too seriously, encouraging your children no matter what, and always ready to do new things with your children. It's wonderful.
Same I don’t necessarily have a bad relationship but we are not close and i never tell her any of my secrets or who I’m crushing on etc cuz we were never brought up that way and we’ve always had a non friendly mother daughter relationship where she was more motherly and strict and I couldn’t feel comfortable opening up to her. I feel distant with her even though we’ve lived together for 25 years. I could never change infront of my mom or siblings lol I feel like they’d be eyeing my body😂

As someone who was abused and almosed died a couple of times because of my mom's mental and physical abuse... ,i always get emotional watching mia's videos with her mom,in fact,i watch them most days before i sleep to help my anxiety and ptsd,their energy helps me believe theres something other than abuse aomewhere out there,they balance the pain i experiance in my house. I dont think ill ever have kids,but i aspire to be like mama maples when i meet children.

It used to be way harder to cancel! You either had to call or chat with an agent. And they did the whole "if you don't cancel, well thrown in a free ____" and if you say no they would give like 3 more scenarios for you not to cancel before finally letting you. It's way easier now!!
OR! You cancel over the phone but still have a member credit on your account that they won’t refund… so you use the credit for something, then they REINSTATE your membership!😓 without telling you!

She said she's insecure about her stomach so maybe the slight tight feeling the clothes give her would give her more confidence. Sometimes the things that are supposed to help physically only help people mentally accept themselves. Like as a trans man that lives in a mental group home I'm not allowed to have a binder for my chest (for safety reasons as prolonged usage can break a rib) but wearing a tight sports bra helps me feel more confident even though my chest is still prominently showing. This comment wasn't supposed to be rude I have a problem with tone and wording things so if it reads that way it's not my intention. Have a nice day and hopefully a new perspective helped answer your question of what it might be doing for her.
I'm plus size and I absolutely loved this video and thought it was done super tastefully. Also you don't have to be plus sized to have body issues or have insecurities, your issues are valid.

I cancelled my Fabletics membership back in 2019, and I remember there wasn’t a way to do it directly on their website, so I had to contact customer service and they gave me a bunch of offers when I tried to cancel. It wasn’t the worse thing in the world, but it wasn’t the easiest either. I’m glad they’ve made it easier to cancel the membership since then!

I've had a fabletics membership for 8 months and I've skipped every month, never once paid the membership fee but have taken advantage of every deal (which there are a ton of). It's definitely worth it if you remember to skip somewhere between the 1st and 5th of every month. On another note, I tried some Yitty stuff, too, and it did the exact same thing to me as it did to Mama Maples. I was so disappointed. It made me feel like there was something wrong with my body.
@Ashton Elisee honestly their leggings are a hit or miss for me. Like the quality is inconsistent. One of the shorts i bought was super thick and perfect for working out but the other one was see through and too stretchy for workout shorts
That's what I commented about Fenty X Savage. I've been a member since January 2019 and I've never been charged a fee because I set a reminder in my phone calendar to skip every 1st of the month. I just buy items as I need them like I bought a couple bras a week or so ago for like 30 bucks shipping included. It's definitely worth being a member.

I really appreciate this review, because I love Lizzo and I'm closer to her size then I am to Mia. I watch all of Mia's try-ons even though the clothes she wears aren't in my size I enjoy every vid. This vid was special though because I had thought about buying Yitty (if only for the fact that I love Lizzo and appreciate plus size brands) but upon seeing how the shape wear fits I don't think I would buy. Long story short, thank you Mia and Mama Maples for such a great review. Love you both so much.
The problem with the review is she didn't do the research about the different types of pieces that are offered in the collection. If you look it up and go based off of what you need you may actually find things you like in the collection. Try a few other reviews, may change your mind. 😊

The item description should tell you what the use is and how you wear it, ESPECIALLY if it’s as expensive as this collection. It wasn't supposed to be your usual everyone else is doing the same thing line. Seriously, it's Lizzo anything she does has a point behind it. At the end of the day she made different sections for different pieces, she did so for a reason. Lizzo doesn't just make things for the heck of it. When I first saw the fabletics ads I did have to call to cancel and it probably took one or two more conversations to cancel. Definitely seems easier to cancel now.
(About a year ago) I remember when seeing Fabletic ads on TikTok and I winded buying some mistakenly thinking it was Halara because they looked similiar their ads. Anyway I ordered and signed up on VIP trial and also so reviews of how difficult it was to cancel, but for me it was a bit hard to find where to cancel on the site. However, I found it and they had live chat which I used to chat with a person to cancel the membership and that was super easy with no hassles.
I also had some problems with this brand. Although the leggings were amazing, I canceled my membership and they continued to charge me. Wouldn’t refund any of my money and had to make multiple bank phone calls…. Not worth it for me!
Plus her designs and idea of shapewear came from the Kardashians as much as I hate the Kardashians. She’s copying and hopping on trends she isn’t original

Yeah I did not have a good time with the membership thing with fabletics. I tried skipping a month and I was charged. It was 58$ when I did it and I called the customer support and they said oh we’re sorry we’ll give you a $10 credit. I was like please cancel my subscription and they convinced me to stay another month. Then it happened again. They said “you know you’ve skipped when you’ve received a confirmation email.” This was 2 years ago so i didn’t really know what was going on lol. But I called and had them cancel my vip. I said no I don’t want your $10 credit. I can’t spend $60 a month on clothes when I need to pay for school
Yep, I had the same thing happen to me, but I cancelled (back then you could only do that through a phone call!) and then the cancellation apparently didn’t go through. At some point I realised I had still been paying for it for 6 months (I know, that’s kinda on me for not noticing too, but still). They tried to convince me to use the 300 euros to just buy Fabletics stuff (aka, re-offer me the monthly credit that would have expired) but I refused, and then after 3 or 4 phone calls they did eventually reimburse me.
I really appreciate mama maples being in this video and showing the new problems created. As someone who’s curvy and thick like her I too always have these problems. Even with leggings or any type of “flattering” clothing pieces. It’ll fix one problem but result in fat either pouring out the top or bottom. I have never seen someone publicly mention this online and am so grateful I know I’m not the only one. Makes me realize it’s not a problem with me and just the clothes! The amount of times clothes have “waist/tummy control” but aren’t high waisted enough that I have whole new fats rolls created is infuriating!!
I don't really trust membership programs anymore after Hello Fresh. HF used to have the same thing as Fabletics used to where you had to cancel through chatting or calling. Also Fabletics isn't very transparent. When I considered getting a membership with them I couldn't really find any information on the company other than Kate Hudson was a co-founder.
I am in Australia & cancelled my fabletics in 2018. Called & said exchange rates are getting too high & they cancelled easy. Also - Mia you don't have to pay every month - only if you forget to skip by the 6th & its then a usable credit
Really loved this video as it showed lots of problems we are all getting with these hug fitting undies/shape wear, they all push the fat upwards that create an extra roll, then the band rolls down. Thanks so much for doing us all a look at these. X

That's the problem I have with shape wear, it always squeezes the fat up or out where it isn't more controlled. I haven't found one I like yet. U should do a shapermint review video or shape mint not sure which its called, but I would love to have your honest opinion on their pieces.
Hey, I wanted to let you know a bot stole your comment sadly. I also actually have some of their shapewear! Empetua. I’ve got a three pairs of the like shorts. My mum got them for me and I don’t actually wear them because I have a really sensitive stomach so any pressure in that region makes me feel sick. But my mum has them too and loves them. She wears them all the time and says they’re very comfortable. I don’t know about any of their other stuff though and I don’t know how it compares to other brands because it’s the only shapewear I own. But it seems good to me and my mum very much enjoys them. It smoothes out all her lumps and flattens her stomach.
I’m so relieved that I wasn’t the only one that didn’t have a great experience with this collection. I heard it was amazing and wouldn’t roll and would do all these other amazing things, but they rolled and wouldn’t stay in place and had odd seams. But Fabletics as a brand hasn’t been a favorite of mine since I discovered Lululemon. Yeah, kind of a fail for me.
The rolling of the band happens to be with most of my leggings even if they aren’t shape wear and it’s really discouraging. This was a very genuine review and it is appreciated. You both look stunning as usual ❤️

I've had a fabletics membership for 8 months and I've skipped every month, never once paid the membership fee but have taken advantage of every deal (which there are a ton of). It's definitely worth it if you remember to skip somewhere between the 1st and 5th of every month.
On another note, I tried some Yitty stuff, too, and it did the exact same thing to me as it did to Mama Maples. I was so disappointed. It made me feel like there was something wrong with my body.
@Ashton Elisee honestly their leggings are a hit or miss for me. Like the quality is inconsistent. One of the shorts i bought was super thick and perfect for working out but the other one was see through and too stretchy for workout shorts
That's what I commented about Fenty X Savage. I've been a member since January 2019 and I've never been charged a fee because I set a reminder in my phone calendar to skip every 1st of the month. I just buy items as I need them like I bought a couple bras a week or so ago for like 30 bucks shipping included. It's definitely worth being a member.

I really appreciate this review, because I love Lizzo and I'm closer to her size then I am to Mia.
I watch all of Mia's try-ons even though the clothes she wears aren't in my size I enjoy every vid. This vid was special though because I had thought about buying Yitty (if only for the fact that I love Lizzo and appreciate plus size brands) but upon seeing how the shape wear fits I don't think I would buy.
Long story short, thank you Mia and Mama Maples for such a great review. Love you both so much.
The problem with the review is she didn't do the research about the different types of pieces that are offered in the collection. If you look it up and go based off of what you need you may actually find things you like in the collection. Try a few other reviews, may change your mind. 😊

The item description should tell you what the use is and how you wear it, ESPECIALLY if it’s as expensive as this collection. I haven’t done any research into it because I don’t like shapewear so idk how the website is but it seems like the line isn’t super transparent about what to buy for what occasion

The point is she made it for different things. It wasn't supposed to be your usual everyone else is doing the same thing line.
Seriously, it's Lizzo anything she does has a point behind it. Though hey everyone is different, if you want to go out and buy whatever, that's your money and your wasted time.
At the end of the day she made different sections for different pieces, she did so for a reason. Lizzo doesn't just make things for the heck of it. She wants you to feel strong and confident in all that you wear and what you do. She didn't just sign her name to something and gain clout because of who it's through.
Lastly ,if you don't like the price then just buy elsewhere.

At the end of the day for how expensive it is or for anything in general, give yourself the respect for your own hard earned money to put some thought into it. When I first saw the fabletics ads I did have to call to cancel and it probably took one or two more conversations to cancel. Definitely seems easier to cancel now.
(About a year ago) I remember when seeing Fabletic ads on TikTok and I winded buying some mistakenly thinking it was Halara because they looked similiar their ads. Anyway I ordered and signed up on VIP trial and also so reviews of how difficult it was to cancel, but for me it was a bit hard to find where to cancel on the site. However, I found it and they had live chat which I used to chat with a person to cancel the membership and that was super easy with no hassles.
I also had some problems with this brand. Although the leggings were amazing, I canceled my membership and they continued to charge me. Wouldn’t refund any of my money and had to make multiple bank phone calls…. Not worth it for me!

Yeah I did not have a good time with the membership thing with fabletics. I tried skipping a month and I was charged. It was 58$ when I did it and I called the customer support and they said oh we’re sorry we’ll give you a $10 credit. I was like please cancel my subscription and they convinced me to stay another month. Then it happened again. They said “you know you’ve skipped when you’ve received a confirmation email.” This was 2 years ago so i didn’t really know what was going on lol. But I called and had them cancel my vip. I said no I don’t want your $10 credit. I can’t spend $60 a month on clothes when I need to pay for school

Yep, I had the same thing happen to me, but I cancelled (back then you could only do that through a phone call!) and then the cancellation apparently didn’t go through. At some point I realised I had still been paying for it for 6 months (I know, that’s kinda on me for not noticing too, but still). They tried to convince me to use the 300 euros to just buy Fabletics stuff (aka, re-offer me the monthly credit that would have expired) but I refused, and then after 3 or 4 phone calls they did eventually reimburse me.
Mama maples is a gift. Comfortable in her body, full of joy, she’s a treasure.
I like what brand offers I just don’t like the membership thing so I haven’t tried her clothing yet but I love this review!
I really appreciate mama maples being in this video and showing the new problems created. As someone who’s curvy and thick like her I too always have these problems. Even with leggings or any type of “flattering” clothing pieces. It’ll fix one problem but result in fat either pouring out the top or bottom. I have never seen someone publicly mention this online and am so grateful I know I’m not the only one. Makes me realize it’s not a problem with me and just the clothes! The amount of times clothes have “waist/tummy control” but aren’t high waisted enough that I have whole new fats rolls created is infuriating!!

I don't really trust membership programs anymore after Hello Fresh. HF used to have the same thing as Fabletics used to where you had to cancel through chatting or calling. Also Fabletics isn't very transparent. When I considered getting a membership with them I couldn't really find any information on the company other than Kate Hudson was a co-founder.

I am in Australia & cancelled my fabletics in 2018. Called & said exchange rates are getting too high & they cancelled easy.
Also - Mia you don't have to pay every month - only if you forget to skip by the 6th & its then a usable credit

That's the problem I have with shape wear, it always squeezes the fat up or out where it isn't more controlled. I haven't found one I like yet. U should do a shapermint review video or shape mint not sure which its called, but I would love to have your honest opinion on their pieces.
Hey, I wanted to let you know a bot stole your comment sadly. I also actually have some of their shapewear! Empetua. I’ve got a three pairs of the like shorts. My mum got them for me and I don’t actually wear them because I have a really sensitive stomach so any pressure in that region makes me feel sick. But my mum has them too and loves them. She wears them all the time and says they’re very comfortable. I don’t know about any of their other stuff though and I don’t know how it compares to other brands because it’s the only shapewear I own. But it seems good to me and my mum very much enjoys them. It smoothes out all her lumps and flattens her stomach.

I’m so relieved that I wasn’t the only one that didn’t have a great experience with this collection. I heard it was amazing and wouldn’t roll and would do all these other amazing things, but they rolled and wouldn’t stay in place and had odd seams. But Fabletics as a brand hasn’t been a favorite of mine since I discovered Lululemon. Yeah, kind of a fail for me.
The rolling of the band happens to be with most of my leggings even if they aren’t shape wear and it’s really discouraging. This was a very genuine review and it is appreciated. You both look stunning as usual ❤️
