There’s something very moving and deeply inspiring about seeing a lone individual holding to the truth in spite of all the opposition and threat . We don’t often get the privilege of seeing such people , thankfully because it isn’t always necessary but when it is , they stand up ,and is profoundly inspirational . He once told me in an almost sinister, hollow tone (with regards to religion) “I don’t believe in anything.” Years later he starts snarling when JK Rowling was mentioned and saying “She’s really ruined it for herself cause she keeps talking.” None of it’s a surprise. Wished I’d backed away sooner rather later… seeing him attempting to indoctrinate his own parents with trans documentaries (insisting that they emote over a 6ft man in heels) was quite literally out of an Orwell novel. They’re incredibly toxic people who loathe the real world and absolutely hate women but you wouldn’t realise it until this kind of pernicious ideology comes along.
