Finished weekly paclitaxel x12 in Dec 2022. Still have numbness in fingers and toes but no pain. It’s so annoying not to be able to peel the seals off container tops and I’ve given up on small buttons. The up side is that the neuropathy was originally almost up to my elbows so it has been slowly improving. Your info about nerve regrowth/regeneration gives me hope that I may be able to wear a button-up shirt again one day
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Yerbba community. It's great to hear that your neuropathy is slowly improving. Nerve regrowth can take time, but it's promising that you are seeing progress. Stay hopeful, and continue to monitor your recovery with your medical team.

Do you believe it's reasonable for someone (age 78) who finished tamoxifen 20 years ago for early stage breast cancer to be started on raloxifene for osteoporosis treatment? There's been no cancer recurrence, mammograms are clear, breasts are not dense. Just low bone density in the spine (has already had double hip arthroplasty for OA so little concern about hip fracture). Or, is the risk of DVT or PE too high at this age and is this drug even appropriate in someone with previously treated breast cancer?
Raloxifene is a great medication to reduce the risk of continued decrease in bone mineral density. The risk of endometrial cancer and other side effects are markedly low.
It’s possible that the rib pain could be related to your radiation treatment, as radiation can sometimes cause changes or discomfort in the treated area. It’s a good idea to discuss this with your doctor to ensure everything is okay.
This was perfect ! All my questions were answered.
We're so glad this video was helpful!

I did not need chemotherapy, but i had radiation April of this year, now I am having pain in the ribs, could that be relate to the radiation? Thanks
