Very helpful! We cruise on February 2 with a seven year old. This is our third MSC cruise...first time on Meraviglia. Excited to experience it all.

This has been my favorite cruise to date, on the Meraviglia. Granted, I have only been on a grand total of three cruises as an adult - the Meraviglia and the Concordia in the Mediterrenean, and the Viking Sky in the Baltic, but it has made such an indelible impression, it will take a lot to beat.
You preferred MSc to Viking?! Never heard that way before 😀💕

We are booked on the Meraviglia for Sundays sailing to new England and Canada, in a balcony cabin. I have not been on the ship, but have been on other msc ships, so seeing the video is nice.
Also had a balcony cabin on the same ship so it was happy memories to see your review!
I was on the Miraviglia over the week of Xmas...the sofa was beyond gross, with all sorts of bodily fluid stains. I asked the cabin steward to cover the sofa with a sheet. The bed was comfortable and I slept great. Loved the room service breakfast in the morning while sitting out on the balcony.
Oh No Susan! That sounds terrible. The ship really isn't that old so I don't even want to know what the stains were!! Apart from that did you have a good time? 😊

Except for the bathroom, this cabin is remarkably similar to the one you stayed in on the NCL Encore. I only discovered your channel yesterday, and I've been streaming through a lot of them. The Encore cabin video played just before this, which made it really easy to compare. I like the short hair!
This video made me decide I’m going to marshals to go buy some new pillows. Love new pillows and then bed Bath and beyond to get some cool shams

We sailed on the MSC Seaside last year and loved it! We sail on this one this year and cannot wait. We love MSC over most other Cruise lines.

My friend Morgan O’Brien from the Very Unofficial Travel Guides is cruising on the Meraviglia soon!! Will be interesting to see what he thinks of the ship!! He had done one MSC ship before & he didn’t like it at all (although it was only a 2 - 3 day cruise)! He used to say that he’d never cruise with MSC again - but he found a good deal on the Meraviglia & he has vacation time he needs to use (he lives in Germany - gets a lot of vacation time)! I think he’s going to enjoy his Meraviglia cruise!
Yesss!!!! I'm sure he will love it, it'll be much better than the 2-3 day trips on the older ships. MSC Meraviglia is really special :)
I,v just come back from a med. Cruise on the Metaviglia. On the last day I picked up some sort of virus and have been attending my doctor for the last 2 weeks. She is of the opinion it may have been the air conditioner. Anyway just to let you know I won't be traveling with MSC again. I wasn't overly impressed.

Nice cabin! Looks a lot like the balcony cabins on the newer NCL ships! Same type of wardrobe & bed & sofa - even the same “shelf” under the tv to hold all the brochures!!
Haha!! There is only so many ways to design a cabin I suppose. I really like this one but also like the ones on the Breakaway/Getaway and Epic! :)
I like the mini-suites on Princess- because I love the bathtub! Also works nicely for more than 2 passengers - the area with the sofa bed is like a separate room - closed off by a curtain & even a 2nd tv!
Worked out well when I cruised with my friend Nancy - she’d stay in the casino until the wee hours of the morning- come back to the cabin - head to her sofa bed & close the curtain - so she could turn the light on & it didn’t bother me or Nan’s cousin Susan!

The lamps have integrated USB plugs on the bottom! Many people miss them but they're there!
On Belissima (and all subsequent Veraviglia-class-vessels) there are USB-Sockets in the bedside lamps.
Also some(?) cabins have extra drawers in the desks.
Hey Emma if you need stop the electric shocks you can keep a fabric sheet in your pocket and keep touching every hour or so. Or you can run your hands over it.

Try tapping the handles with the back side of your hand first, still going to get a shock, but that side is less sensitive.
Awesome review. The room looks delightful. We are cruising on Fantasia at the nd of March. Hopefully the balcony layout will be similar. Thanks for your great video!

I think there is a USB under the metal part of the lamp facing upwards next to the bed
Setup is just like Disney Cruise. Except Disney have a bunk bed that drops down over the couch and the couch converts to a sleeper.

That is exactly like the balcony cabin we had on the MSC Seaside. There is nothing different. Was hoping the Meraviglia cabin would have more storage than the Seaside, since there is definitely not enough storage for two people. Nope.
I never really had any problems with it but nope they're pretty much identical 😊❤️

Do the British put their dirty dishes in the hallway? On my last cruise on RC there were always dishes in the hall.

Thank you for this video, Emma! My hubby and I are cruising with MSC on the Meraviglia in January, 2020, and we have booked an oceanview room. The diagram on the MSC site shows the room as having a sofa, but the 360 view shows a much smaller room with no sofa. Do you happen to know the layouts of the oceanview rooms, or do you have a video of this room? Thank you!

We just came off the Meraviglia, fantastica ocean view which is the exact same layout just without the balcony. It did have a couch.

Yep! Our cabin attendant was so so lovely. Our cabin was spotless :) Have you cruised with MSC before?
Not yet. Carnival has gone to cleaning cabins once a day which is really plenty. My wife was a bit disappointed at first but got over it quickly. Cruise ship employees work so hard every day that I am a bit uncomfortable with how much they do for us anyway. Our next cruise is Princess and I'm sure the service will be much more than adequate.

The cabin is nice bathroom is a bit tight closet n draw space for 2 people is insufficient the tv has like 6 channels I know ur not there to watch tv but when u get back to ur room after a deck party I'd like to watch something again cabin is nice but a bit tight n having to put ur cruise card in to get lights to work is a bit ridiculous but whatever
You seem to really like MSC. I have thought about using MSC. With Costa you mentioned lots of smoking areas, which was a big no no for lots of us brits. What's it like on MSC?

You said MSC will use whatever credit/points you had on other cruise lines for perks. But will what you get on MSC also carry back over to your usual cruise company or will most cruise companies not give you more points for sailing on MSC?
No other cruise line matches the status as far as I know, just MSc 😀❤️

Hey hey! We booked them online before (but when we got to the ship they had some how deleted all the reservations so we had to go and book again) 😂👍🏼 I'd say book online before if you can for more choice of times but you can also book on the ship no problem. Have a fabulous cruise!

The bed can be separated into two smaller beds. The couch converts into a bed.

What r the itineraries for this trip?
The MSC Meraviglia usually cruises around the Mediterranean (Barcelona, Palermo, Rome, Genoa). But MSC Meraviglia is heading over to the US soon! :)

Hey Rafal, nope it was a gift from somebody I know at MSC. I don't believe you can bring on alcohol, I did see people having it confiscated.
