David you have got to go to Dynamo Donuts in SF that is my shit. My personal favorite from their constant menu is the Maple Bacon Donut and then they have tons of rotating flavors. Definitely try it sometime.
Donut Friends is the best vegan donut shop they're so good- and coconut bacon is a vegan imitation of regular bacon- the whole shop is actually vegan aside from the milk they carry for their drinks.
Sidecar Doughnuts is my absolute favorite donut place - they also rotate their flavors. Their eggs Benedict/green eggs and ham donuts is basically breakfast in a doughnut. Also California doughnuts for their matcha donuts - they do it RIGHT.
