I love this song so much. It makes me think of 13 years ago when I finally got up the courage to walk away from a 27 year abusive marriage and would sit at a bar where they did karaoke and sit at a little table all by myself. I was so lonely and heartbroken and cared. I would just sit there looking out a window and was glad to have people around me. I never found a man I could rest my arms on and that is ok. I used to ask God why he couldn't give me that special someone like he does for so many others,. When I left I took our young son and I realize now that I am strong and can be ok with it just being me. I have come such a long way and maybe God has other plans for me. What I didn't realize until recently is God did put that special person in my life. The young son of ours that I took with me is all grown up, and what a wonderful man he is and he is always there for me to rest my arms on and put my worries in his pocket. Thank you Barry Gibb for touching my heart with this beautiful song. All your songs touch my heart, but this one touches my soul.

I was with someone who abused me and i had to leave when he started 9n my precious son. I left him when my son was 3 and I never looked back. The song was original written for the Children of the World album in 1976. So it was not written with Olivia in mind. That logic would mean that is also were written without Conway Twitty in mind who had the biggest succes with the song. But the Andy and Olivia version is great version.
I have it on a loop right now, can't watch BeeGee's O.N.O., as I just start blubbing. So so grateful to have lived during this past 60 years to hear magnificent music from the Magical Brothers Gibb. Now, we have the second generation, Steve & Ashley are amazing working with their dad, Steve has that gritty voice that you would expect from a rock guitarist, I've never heard Ashley, if I'm right, he's more writing & technical, although I am willing to be corrected. Samantha & Adam are the jewels in Maurices Crown, I've heard.Samantha & she's terrific, again I haven't heard Adam but I did hear him say he'd never sing live, that was when they all got together for the Gibb Collective. Then we have Spencer, don't know why Robin didn't double up with him when he was doing solo stuff, but I would love to hear all if them live on stage with their daddy/uncle, now that would send me off to heaven with the biggest smile on my face.
