This is deathcore. Baby J (also drums in SPITE) does all the instruments and then sends the tracks to Tom( also sings in Chelsea Grin and used to sing for Lorna Shore). Love these dudes!!!

The clown core analogy is actually spot on, they're both super experimental in the realm of taking a genre into a darker, more disturbing place. Love darko us
These guys are pioneering a new sound for deathcore. They sound like if aliens made deathcore in the year 3000. They have taken inspiration from bands like loathe and are currently members of the deathcore bands Chelsea grin and spite. Super low tuned guitars, whammy pedals, 808s, ambient sections over brutality. Really great stuff, some of my favorite in the deathcore genre

Darko are my favorite. Just the industrial sound with the pure punching rhythms and just insane vocals.

I think the clowncore comparison is kind of on point. Darko like clowncore is just a side project of 2 extremely talented artists (Baby J of Spite and formerly of emmure, and Tom Barber currently of chelsea grin and formerly lorna shore) that happened to blow up. Also like clownore, there's production elements that a lot of us recognize from other genres and works but we keep coming back to Darko because the fusion of that horrorcore wacky synth element just naturally fuses really well with the heavy and impactful production and structure of deathcore. It also helps that Tom can make himself sound like your sleep paralysis demon as well lol.
This band is insane. Just discovered them a couple months ago and haven't been disappointed. Also the dude plays a right-handed 9-string guitar left-handed (so upside down).
This band has some of the tightest compositions out there, the snappy punch notes, the heavy layers, the unrelenting intensity, this stuff is made for quality headphones.
Hey Geebz, the band name is pronounced Darko U.S. just to let you know lol. I'm pretty these guys are deathcore. The bands particular style always involves the really cool engineering and synths and stuff like that. always heavy as hell. So glad to see you checking them out!

Yes it's Tom Barber, originally in Lorna Shore (pre-Immortal) and currently in Chelsea Grin. And the other guy was in Emmure and Glass Cloud I believe and Spite too I think?

Okay, I have to admit, I usually only watch reviews on bands I at least heard of, but opening youtube now, I see this new video and say to myself "hell, why not up its stats a bit, it's just 8 minutes", and WHAAAAAAT THE FFFF WAS THAT. At first I thought the vocals aren't my jam at all, so this track stands no chance with me, but by the end I'm kinda sold, and will try to sneak it into my aggressive playlists cuz whoa that one is mindblowing. Tight here, expanding there, synths used fantastically, and overall what a dark ride
Darko will blow your mind. Listen to their original dethmask EP. Crazy stuff!

RTGOB is fucking crushing, that song just keeps pounding from start to finish.
These guys have been pushing out bangers for the past 3 years and so consistently. 2 albums and 2 eps in such a short amount of time. Absolutely killing it in the scene.

So like other people have already said this is desthcore. Industrial, modern, crazy desthcore.
This is a two man project, these guys are/have been in other successful bands.
Josh does all the crazy instrumentals, and Tom does vocals. Watch them do a one take in the studio, Ashtone's studio, the guy that does the mixes. Ashtone (Matt) also mixes most of niknocturnal's projects these days.
For more melodic tracks from Darko though, check out Daniel (with Courtney Laplante) and Come Home (with Rory Rodriguez), completely different vibe!

If you continue with Darko, it seems everyone is suggesting songs similar to this -- they are quite varied while still staying true to deathcore/(whatever their unique genre they're creating is). PLEASE heed my suggestion and do "Daniel" by Darko US ... as a bonus, this one features Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox. Also "Insects" (live studio performance) would be a great one. Cheers to whatever you do!!

Brand of Sacrifice have a similar style. I definitely recommend their new track "DYNASTY". Heavy as balls.
I would call it Deathcore but it has so many influences, from Industrial, VideoGame Soundtracks, Dubstep, Techno, Hip Hop, Glitches, its so crazy... Plus, their ballads are heart wrenching, just go listen to Come Home or Donna.. They can pull from the most heavy disgusting stuff, to the most ambient and the most heart touching...
Darko US is top tier. They put out crazy songs like this and Mars attacks. But then they throw songs like Donna, Daniel and especially come home and it's a totally different feel. Their range and creativity is unparalleled. Two dudes literally took the death core genre and turned it on its head.

Seeing Geebz react to Darko is kinda surreal. To what most others are saying Darko is deathcore but in a brand new direction. I call it Glitchcore but there really isn’t an agreed upon name for this particular flavor of Deathcore yet.

It’s Deathcore but Darko really is in a league of their own. Pretty innovative stuff. All their albums are great and their music videos are insane. It’s like Deathcore on acid.
