    Hands down the best tips on internal handlebar cable routing on the internet! Instead of screws and washers I used terminal strips, also worked great.

    I just routed the cables trough my Yoeleo handlebars... and it is definitely a bit of a trick and not easy, but using this method it went pretty smoothly. I some cheap bike cables instead of the trimmer line, worked nicely too.
    Thank you so much Steven!! who know how I would have managed it without your trick, since the inside of the handlebars is very rough.

    Thank you so much for this video Steven! That went very smooth.
    Spoiler alert for the next video, on my Yoeleo R12 frame, I tried pushing the cables trough the frame and it went effortlessly without any tools. The hard part is the handlebars.

I was really tempted by the specail edition color but it was just to much of a price diffrence so I will probably just end up with red just like your build. for the wheels I did decide on light bicycle with some dt swiss 240s as they have a specail running for them.

    its a good reminder to never EVER even LOOK at any bicycle product with IRC.
    in fact, i think i'll go dremel out the cable tunnels on the Campy 11-speed shifters
    Hint/trick: rout the cables OUTSIDE of the handlebars and stem, and glue on cable stops on the outside of the bike frame.
    ok, ok, i'm just kidding.
    what you should do instead is just throw every component with IRC into the firepit and call in an air-to-ground missile strike

    I would never opt for internal cable routing through the bars or stem. Those areas of exposed cables has never ever been an issue. The only cables that were exposed that I did not like were the ones that flowed externally down the downtube. I'm seeing posts were Folks are having problems caused by the designs of internal routing through bars and stems, problems like frames cracking and more. To me, I think this also puts crimping stresses on hydraulic lines which can't be good, these hydraulic brakes barely work as it is.

    Hi, Steven! Assume we have integrated bars installed, brake hoses precisely cut and filled with oil. Everything is fine. Then comes a moment to cut a fork steerer tube which is better done with a fork completely removed. Obviously there's no way to avoid disconnecting the brake hoses from the levers (at least the front one) and rebleeding the system afterwards. Is it ok to reconnect a hose to a lever without cutting it and fitting with a new olive/insert?

    • @stevenleffanue
      @stevenleffanue  3 года назад +2

      Measure yourself to the frameset first or do a short test ride in a safe carpark ..that should get the steerer size in the ballpark.
      Yes you can remove hydraulic lines if need to and plug them back in again....put some grease on the olives.

Of course, I can't try one out. Is there something particular about the bike, that makes it less comfortable? Which one (exactly) do you own? I am looking at the Endurace CF SL Disc 8.0. I have the Aeroad and its a great bike. It has race geometry which gives it a more aggressive feel. The Yoeleo r6 is slightly more relaxed and I prefer it for longer rides.

    • @cyclingmilan
      @cyclingmilan 4 года назад

      @@hansvanmeer8395 Hey Hans, if you want a convenient option, than canyon is a good price/quality ratio. Can't go wrong there. But there are also good deals at shops like mantel or math salden (from your name I presume you have access to those shops, I could be wrong thou)
      If you go for the yoeleo route, it is much more of a project, much more ownership and more interesting, but certainly not as convenient. imho
      Comfort does not depend on the brand, but on the fit and the type of bike. The canyon endurance is designed to be comfortable at the correct size, it will allow you to output more power for longer if your body is not used to the aggressive position on a full on racebike like the aeroad.

    For watt savings there are many other (and cheaper!) possibilities!

    You should try one of those,the riding performance is just incredible,and my focus is on the bad roads i mostly ride.
