After being away in Munich last week & missing breaking down the team's emphatic 4-1 demolition of Newcastle , it was a pleasure as always being back working with James & Ryan & Joe , who overese the production of the show so well .
It is such a privilege breaking this team down right now

Watching Arsenal on tv, I could not quite figure out what Arteta was doing with Kiwior and the defense but it was intricate and fascinating. Graham and James explained it in minutes just like I knew they would! I have not seen you guys this giddy......EVER. Love it. What a show!

Saka running to the touchline and crossing or cutting back he looks unstoppable. At last he mixing it up!
Great to have Graham back with another quality Spurs gag. But you're right, James, Spurs need to do us a favour or 2 to ease our passage to the top spot. To be honest, I couldn't enjoy the game last night. I felt so sorry for Sheffield United - damned to being crushed whether it was 4 or 5 at the back. It seemed almost cruel. On this occasion I'll agree with James for the Kaiser being my POTM. Nobody mentions his price tag any more. What else ... well, I have to draw attention to our lack of any weaknesses, at least in the starting XI anyway. A couple of great cameos from Vieira and Jesus, but Partey looked very rusty and slipping Sheff Utd a couple of opportunities that they, of course, failed to exploit. But I do hope that there isn't any complacency with our current trajectory. We need to keep up the hunger and fluidity to destroy even the deepest block.

Great show boys. Loved the way Havertz pulled his feet back to make way for ball to get through to Ø8, then no look assist from Kiwior... wow! It was a great game to give Ramsdale some minutes (half time goalie sub we have been waiting for lol) get ready for weekend game he will have to play.

the fact that nowadays, man of the match debates rotate around forward players like Ordegaad, Havertz, Saka and so on, rather than basically defensive players like Gabi, Saliba, Jorginho, (not that they aren"t showing up great performances), it just shows how Arteta"s Arsenal are getting respect and fear from other teams, and shows how massively we have upgraded our aggressive attack in our recent games, in the first half of the season it used to be Rice, Rice, Saliba , Saliba, Gabriel. but now that has become normal to their game, its no longer overwhelming and surprising that they are so good, its now become a norm. now the challenge is for our attackers to create more chances and score more goals

Been watching Arsenal for 10 years come this summer, this is by far the best we’ve played in that time. The way we have teams pinned in their own half, pinging the ball around and counter pressing anytime we lose it is just amazing to watch.

Think we had such a high line because we didn’t fear Sheffield Utd attacking pace.
Firstly have you watched Jorghino closely recently. Not only does he orchestrate the attacks but off the ball he seems to be the defensive coach on pitch talking and pulling players into positions to cover possible counters.
Secondly dopartey and Jesus only get into team for the Porto game but in league we keep largely same team.
Partey and Jesus look rusty, I don't think they will start. Maybe subs...

It seems that they are playing zonely all over the pitch with slight interchanging of positions whilst in posession. Without posession they are pressing in their zones. So effectively, there are more options as there is never more than 10 metres between players, apart from maybe a counter attack by us within our own half. If we can keep everyone fit then we may not have even reached our peak. One thing for sure we will need to be at our peak at City. If we convert one of three shots at goal against them it maybe enough to secure one point or even 3. If we don't go in their scared and keep Rodri and Debruyne quiet. So maybe Declan can keep Rodri quiet and Jorgi keeping Debruyne quiet, our attacking threats may be better than theirs. But first, the job has to be done against Brentford. Then we can sit and watch Liverpool and City kick each other to bits with maybe a sending off. Hopefully the players are still hurting from last season and have come back wiser for the run in. We must also go through to the next stage of CL as confidence will build up for the City game. Come on you Gunners, it's been a long time!
I think Gabriel Jesus will become a wing player for Arsenal, and Havertz will stay up front as the main striker

Arsenal have clicked, and for the last number of games I have seen a team in almost constant motion , and accurate passing a killer tactic,, the only defence is constant harassment an exhausting and unsustainable, eventually ,defence, the only reasonable opposition was Liverpool and we were in the main well superior to them,, our only weakness is our twin attacking wings are being kicked outrageously, and i worry about replacements. Still I am by now learning to trust the boss and his team,, the future of this team and this club i have followed since I first went to highbury in 1961 when I arrived from ireland,,,now I watch on streaming service, and they are not very sharp.. still,, C.O.Y.G. SUPPORT UKRAINE FREE AND AT PEACE
You talk of the "back 4" but I think the difference this year is that we are playing a 3-5-2, with 5 midfielders who can defend and 5 midfielders who can score goals. Hence the lack of chances at one end and the mass of chances at the other end.
Usually when people are explaining formation. It is referring to the defensive formation by default, unless he specify that he is referring to the attacking formation (or the team’s shape in other phases).
Guyz Arteta deserve the man of the match for the last game ,the way he organized that teams ,saliba ,kiwior and white were playing him and everyone was so good that we all couldn't point out a standout player

As far as I can see, xg doesn’t take into account the players previous form? In other words, arsenals xg is lower than it should be given how in form they are.

Still worried we carry too many injury prone in squad. Too many to prune them all in summer too. Bit of a sickener how well Klopp has kids playing under huge pressure and even their keeper playing really well 😢. Are their big players close? City Liverpool difficult to know what best result is without tea leaves but draw the one we have to hope for.
Couple of key things I noticed. Saka played more centrally than before when he didn’t have the ball…he didn’t sit wide.
Party not only didn’t control the ball well, his position when arsenal had the ball was all over the place…he was not available for the pass. I’m really worried about him in the team. The Sheffield defence was being pulled everywhere … watch some of the build up play and pause it…they cannot track the arsenal players.

Mickeeturnon is actually doing well now 😂. Havertz has been getting into flow but still lacking ball striking conviction. That goal was his first "lovely " goal.❤. It was no pressure game state and Nketiah banger from 25 yards against Sheffield was his last so won't get ahead of my skies 😂. I think all the breaks going for us atm while none before. Hope it doesn't reverse poles suddenly. Would rather have 3 2 nils than one 6 and couple of draws lol. Next 3 pl games will be huge for all 3 clubs and Porto a defining game in amongst. It will be a failure to go out while out to Realqith a fight in quarter wouldn't be.
Think Liverpool last year was 9th last game ? We were 5 points ahead still and got a point at Anfield. When we went 2 up there I actually believed we were going to win it for the first time. So I ain't falling for that again 😂. OK I did when we went 2 up at West Ham 😂. I think we are in different state this time but its not long since we dropped 11 points in 15 with same players more or less. We can tire again. I keep positive but not expectant yet. When I believe we are actually maybe just going to do it stop me 😂. Its a bad omen.
