The build of the song, the moving lyrics, her impassioned vocal--it all comes together to great effect on the record, and what a treat to finally hear it performed live with all the skill and passion intact. i was 15 when i discovered this band and was kind of an outsider for prefferring terry nunn over some Dancefloor and Techno and whatever. this was 1993. to this day Berlin is still one of my favorite bands, even though thy are almost unknown, except for, hold on, Take my Breath away, here in Germany
Best Berlin song. I saw them do this at XPN in Philly on this same tour. I don’t recall them racing through it like this version though . Slow it down and let Terri do her thing !
