    This is a prime example and just shows how overlooked and underrated Ibrahima Konate is. Not only is he a monster of a defender and puts up top performances almost every game, today all 3 goals started from him. Especially in the 1st, what an assist to Lucho that was man amazing pass. But still doesn’t get a mention. Konate is an absolute beast!! Doesn’t get the credit he deserves at all it’s ridiculous.

      That was a lucky pass😂 he's passing is awful , but defensively he's a monster , he saves Trent's ass every game , loves duels with target men and speedstars

      How daft could you be? All 3 goals started off with Konate's long pass. Go back and watch the game. Also, Trent has been defensively good this season. Go push your agenda elsewhere. @@joshuakithyoma9575

    Yeah the Nunez comment makes sense but hopefully this helps his confidence with the ‘easy’ finishes

    • @IA-qs9mi
      @IA-qs9mi 28 дней назад +2

      Its not really a confidence thing. Its natural finishing ability and intelligence. He doesn’t really have either. Im not sure why lyes can identify why what michael owen said was right and not point out that the shot nunez took today was 100% not the best option. The pass onto salah wouldve been. Now, im glad nunez took the shot but hes not able to improve his “football iq” and he missed a big chance in the game as well. I think he’ll just maintain the level hes been at and get around 10-15 goals in the league. Never see him becoming a 20 goal striker

    • @GrChuks
      @GrChuks 28 дней назад +2

    In the mid 90s there was a Liverpool player Rob Jones who had everything Gary Neville had and more. But like James couldn't catch a break with injuries. Reece James is generational but history only remembers players who play and sadly Reece James will end up a footnote in history.

    As a Liverpool fan i agree with the nuñez comment ,but i do think we should stop putting pressure on him because that affects his decision making .I also believed in lucho but he had many problems in the past now he is proving himself.

  • @justagame101
    @justagame101 28 дней назад +2

    Agree on the Nunez take, but I feel that the likes of the clearance from the line in the 2nd half is an all too common asterisk on his card. Non-Liverpool fans see him as a dud, and eventually I may see him as such, but I would start him against Wolves, and if he does weel, Crystal Palace as a preamble for Chelsea. I commented on many channels last season about the similarities between him and Jackson last season, despite the physical difference. He's so quick, so googd at bringing others into play, and most importantly, creating far more chances than Liverpool would have created otherwise were he not playing, to give up on him. He could totally end up being seen as adud, particularly given his transfer fee, but I still believe there is something speical within him that is so rare in a footballer. His problem is the lack of calm and finesse in finishing. I think your, or owen's point about the easy finishing is spot on, and maybe that's something you cannot learn; but a boy can hope...

    I find it hard to judge who is better defensively between James and Trent. The formation and systems they play are completely different. The on the break style recovery defending Trent did under klopp meant he was more often arriving last minute to stand up the winger. In the chelsea system James thrived in they played 5 at the back so his defensive duties were less critical. I remember under Lampard and a 4 back system James didnt thrive as much defensively due to more need to defend. Not saying either is better or worse just feel the system left Trent very exposed to be seen as bad defensively. He pocketed sterling in the ucl when he was young so it's evident he is capable of it.

    In my humble opinion, I think Darwin is being deployed incorrectly. He is not poacher. He needs to be deployed deeper, maybe in a false 9 position. This would allow him to come onto the ball from a deeper position to instinctively strike. This is why he thrived from the left at other clubs. He is always searching for the spectacular type of finish. Only way to get the most out of him.

      He balled copa America brother. Constantly drawing the double team and opening up the field for the rest of the team to do their part… I see this narrative a lot and it couldn’t be more false in my opinion. If he was to play in a way that highlights HIM and his style of play Colombia wouldn’t have made it out of the quarterfinal.
