That wasn’t even an interview, that was a couple parents chatting about some funny stories about their kids. Love it.
I have mad respect for him solely for the fact that he is mega involved in his daughters' life. Most regular working dads can't even do that, yet here's MGK taking his daughter to tryouts while on *tour.*

big respect to mgk, his parents were never there for him and despite his childhood trauma, he still broke the cycle when he could have stayed lost in the hurt instead

@@benrom916his mom abandoned the family when he was 9, his dad was unemployed and an alcoholic. mgk said his dad never really took care of him, he wouldnt buy food but would buy alcohol instead, and he kicked mgk out when he was young. mgk was doing hard drugs and basically supporting himself when he should have been taken care of by his parents.

i think it was just trauma from not wanting to be like his own parents. he has to be a strong person, he said he was broke and didnt even have money for food but kept pursuing music because he had to take care of his child
He talks about it in his songs, about the struggles of being a young dad and how he didn’t have money to support her and how guilty he felt when he went on tour to get the money but being away from her. He is truly an amazing dad

I never really got into MGK, or know anything about him. But wow, you can tell he’s a quiet shy guy. Performers like that always amaze me, they slip into their stage name and it’s like hitting a light switch. Boom, all of a sudden confidence pops out and you could never imagine them being shy.
She really made him comfortable. Such a good interview.
