Excellent Video but the best part is that you replied to all the questions 👌 Kindly suggest tyres for Creta 1.6 petrol 2018 original config. Is 205/65 R16 ( Should I change the configuration? ) Drive in city and Highway both.
Thank you so much for your appreciation. I am always happy to help viewers 😊🙏 Hyundai Creta 1.6 Petrol 2018 focus on city and highway driving, - 1. Michelin Primacy 4 ST: - Excellent wet grip and handling - Comfortable and quiet ride - Good fuel efficiency - Durable and long-lasting 2. Bridgestone Turanza T005: - Comfortable and quiet ride - Good grip in wet and dry conditions - Decent fuel efficiency - Reliable brand with a strong reputation 3. Continental ContiPremiumContact 6: - Excellent grip and handling - Comfortable and quiet ride - Good fuel efficiency - Advanced technology for optimal performance. The original 205/65 R16 configuration is well-suited for the Creta. Changing it could affect ride quality, handling, and fuel efficiency. So my personal suggestion is to continue with the same.
Hello Sir, Thanks for the very informative video, really liked it. Can you please suggest a good tyre for my i20, 2021 model, 195/55 R16. I prefer comfortable tyre, less noisy, durable tyres without hampering my average fuel economy. Currently installed are stock tyres CEAT, secura Drive, after 37000 km has started worn out and cracks are visible though tread are still decent for another 10k km.

It provides a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency. - Bridgestone Turanza T005: Offers a comfortable ride with good handling and fuel efficiency. Budget-Friendly Option: - MRF ZLX: A popular choice for its durability and affordability. However, it might not offer the same level of comfort and noise reduction as the premium options. Hai sir, i have nexon xm with 6J steel wheels and 195/60/R16 tyres. Can i upgrade to 215/60/r16 tyres. Also suggest for kerala road conditions and weather which is better Yokohama earth or Conti UC6??
Upsizing to 215/60 R16 on your Nexon XM with 6J steel wheels is generally not recommended. Due to following resons - Potential for Rubbing: Upsizing to 215/60 R16 can increase the overall diameter of the tyre, potentially causing rubbing against the wheel arches, suspension components, or the bodywork during steering turns or while driving over bumps. Strain on Components: The wider tyre can put additional stress on the suspension components and steering system. Handling and Steering: Upsizing can affect steering feel and responsiveness. For your Nexon XM with 6J steel wheels, sticking to the original 195/60 R16 size is generally the safest and most recommended option. Yokohama Earth-1: strong wet grip, comfort, and fuel efficiency. Continental UC6: excellent wet grip, handling, and a comfortable ride. Michelin Primacy 4 ST: a balance of comfort, quietness, and excellent grip, including in wet conditions. Bridgestone Turanza T005: comfortable ride with decent grip and fuel efficiency, suitable for Kerala's roads.
Choosing tires for your 2009 Maruti Alto LX with a target life of 50,000 kilometers or 7 years depends on your driving conditions and priorities. Here are some suggestions considering both durability and brand availability in the Indian market: Focus on Durability (for 50,000 km target life): - MRF ZVTV: A well-known option in India, known for its toughness and extended tread life. It might be a good choice if maximizing mileage is your top priority. - JK Tyre Ultima X-Plus: Another budget-friendly option known for its durability and good performance on Indian roads. - CEAT Securo Drive: A fuel-efficient tire from CEAT, offering decent durability for daily driving. Balance of Durability and Comfort (for 50,000 km target life): - Michelin Energy XM2: A good balance between affordability, comfort, and extended tread life. - Bridgestone Duravis: Leans towards durability with a comfortable ride. It might be a good option if you encounter some rough roads occasionally. If you like my channel then do subscribe since I get only 100 subscribers per month !!
The stock tire size for Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha in R16 is most likely 195/55 R16. - Fuel Efficiency: If maximizing fuel economy is your top priority, consider tires known for low rolling resistance, like Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150. - Comfort and Quiet Ride: For a smooth and quiet ride, options like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental PremiumContact 5 are popular choices. - Handling and Performance: If you prioritize handling and sporty performance, consider tires with a focus on these aspects, like Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 or Continental ContiSportContact 5. - Durability: For extended tread life, especially if you drive frequently, MRF Wanderer T77 or JK Tyre Ultima X-Plus are known for their durability. - All-Season Performance: If you encounter all weather conditions, choose tires with good wet and dry performance, like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental ContiSportContact 5. @@ManojTechTalks The CEAT Milaze X3 is a popular choice among budget-conscious car owners, particularly known for its focus on fuel efficiency and long tread life
MRF ZVTV is a great one for Indian roads. I have done 1.8L kms with my baleno and just replaced the 3rd set with same brand & model. 1st company fitted did 1L kms, 2nd set did 80K kms. It lasts long, gives great fuel efficiency and also great ride & handling** (** I always use nitrogen and check refills every 15 days, also I do 5 tyre rotations at every 10K kms and that matters a lot)
Thank you for sharing your remarkable experience with MRF ZVTV tires on your Baleno! Clocking 1.8 lakh kilometers on 3 sets is truly impressive, showcasing the longevity of these tires. Your insights on using nitrogen, regular refills, and tire rotations offer valuable advice for viewers aiming to maximize tire life and performance. It underscores the impact of proper tire maintenance. Considering your specific needs (Jammu & Kashmir, extreme temperature variations, bad roads, comfort, mileage, and long life), here are some tyre options for your Swift 2015 Diesel: Top Recommendations: - Michelin Energy XM2: Known for its exceptional fuel efficiency, comfortable ride, and good grip in various conditions. Very useful information. I am about to buy tyres for my wagon R. Only city driving that too at slow speeds. Never take this vehicle for long drives. Which brand do you suggest?
For city driving on a budget, consider MRF or CEAT for their affordability and decent performance. - MRF's ZLX or CEAT's Milaze/FuelSmarrt are suitable choices offering good value for money. - If prioritizing comfort and durability, Michelin and Bridgestone are reliable options. - Michelin's Energy XM2 provides a smooth ride and long tread life, ideal for slow city driving. - Bridgestone's B290 or DriveGuard offer durability and performance for urban conditions. Which is the best tyre in 195/55/R16. I am looking for budget tyre. My options which i shortlisted are - 1.Apollo Alnac 4G 2.Ceat Secure Drive 3. Goodyear Triplemax2. Please suggest.
Out of the options you've shortlisted, the Apollo Alnac 4G generally receives the best reviews and is considered a good choice for budget-conscious drivers. - Apollo Alnac 4G: Known for its good wet grip, comfortable ride, and decent mileage. It offers a good balance of performance and value. - Ceat SecureDrive: A reliable option with decent grip and mileage. It's a popular choice among budget-conscious buyers. - Goodyear Triplemax 2: Offers a comfortable ride and decent mileage. It's a good all-around tyre, but may not be as strong as the Alnac 4G in wet grip.
Very informative video, Mahesh Ji. Very well explained. Do you have any take on Michelin tyres as well? I'm considering to upgrade Virtus tyres (currently on CEAT stock tyres), and have narrowed down to 3 1. Michelin Energy XM2+ 2. Michelin Primacy 4ST 3. Yokohama Earth The price difference between Michelin and Yokohama is around 3-4k each tyres. My main drive is in Hills and Highways (60:40). What is your take on this?
Michelin Energy XM2+ - Fuel Efficiency: A strong suit, making it a good choice for your highway driving. - Comfort: Offers a comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections well. - Long-lasting: Known for its durability and long tread life. Michelin Primacy 4 ST - Wet Grip: Excels in wet conditions, providing enhanced safety and confidence. - Comfort: Offers a comfortable and quiet ride. - All-around Performance: A well-balanced tyre with good grip, handling, and fuel efficiency. Yokohama Earth-1 - Fuel Efficiency: Designed with a focus on fuel economy. - Comfort: Provides a comfortable ride. - Durability: Known for its long-lasting tread life. Given your focus on Hilly and Highway driving (60:40): - Michelin Primacy 4 ST might be the slightly better choice. Its superior wet grip will be beneficial in unpredictable weather conditions you might encounter in the hills. - If you prioritize wet grip and overall performance, the Michelin Primacy 4 ST is the recommended choice. - If the price difference is a major concern, the Michelin Energy XM2+ or Yokohama Earth-1 are still excellent options with strong fuel efficiency and comfort.
@TrekBookIndia Thankyou Mahesh Ji. I was overwhelmed with choices and local tyre dealers were not very convincing. Thankyou for your thorough guidance. You have got yourself a new subscriber.
@@TrekBookIndia one last question Mahesh Ji. Currently, car is on 205/55 R16 tyres. And I know many people who have recommended 215/55 R17. How do you see it? Is it advisable to go up in alloy size? Also, what difference will be there with 205/65 R16 tyres (width increase). If you can explain it, that will be very helpful. Thankyou.
215/55 R17 and 205/65 R16 key dimensional differences: - Diameter: - 215/55 R17: Approximately 668mm - 205/65 R16: Approximately 673mm - The 205/65 R16 is slightly larger in diameter. - Width: - 215/55 R17: 215mm wide - 205/65 R16: 205mm wide - The 215/55 R17 is wider. - Sidewall Height: - 215/55 R17: 118.25mm - 205/65 R16: 133.25mm - The 205/65 R16 has a taller sidewall. Upgrading to 215/55 R17: - Pros: - Improved Handling: Larger wheels and wider tires generally provide better grip and handling, especially in corners. - Enhanced Aesthetics: 17-inch wheels can give your car a sportier and more stylish look. - Cons: - Potentially Harsher Ride: Larger wheels and tires can make the ride slightly stiffer and less comfortable, especially on rough roads. - Reduced Fuel Efficiency: Larger wheels and tires can slightly increase rolling resistance, potentially leading to a small decrease in fuel economy. - Increased Cost: 17-inch wheels and tires are generally more expensive than 16-inch options. - Potential Clearance Issues: Upgrading to 17-inch wheels might reduce ground clearance, potentially causing issues when driving over speed bumps or uneven surfaces. 205/65 R16: - Pros: - Increased Ground Clearance: This size provides slightly more ground clearance compared to 205/55 R16, which can be beneficial in certain situations. - Softer Ride: The taller sidewall can provide a slightly more comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections better. - Cons: - Potentially Slower Handling: The taller sidewall might slightly reduce responsiveness and handling compared to 205/55 R16. - Slightly Higher Rolling Resistance: This might slightly impact fuel efficiency. - For a balance of handling, comfort, and aesthetics: 215/55 R17 can be a good choice, but carefully consider the potential downsides mentioned above. - For a more comfortable ride and potentially better ground clearance: 205/65 R16 might be a better option. -

Firestone is a well-established tyre brand known for its quality and durability. In terms of durability, Firestone tyres are generally considered to be quite durable. However, the actual lifespan of a tyre can vary depending on factors such as driving habits, road conditions, and proper tyre maintenance. To maximize the lifespan of your tyres, consider the following: - Regular Tyre Pressure Checks: Maintain the recommended tyre pressure to optimize performance and reduce wear. - Proper Wheel Alignment and Balancing: Regular alignment and balancing can help to prolong tyre life and improve handling. - Avoid Aggressive Driving: Excessive acceleration, braking, and cornering can accelerate tyre wear. - Rotate Tyres Regularly: Rotating your tyres can help to even out wear and tear. Upsizing Tyres for Your Tata Tigor: A Cautious Approach Upsizing to 175/65 R15 or 185/60 R15 for your Tata Tigor can be a good choice to improve ground clearance and potentially enhance ride quality. Potential Benefits of Upsizing: - Increased Ground Clearance: This can help protect the underbody from damage on rough roads. - Improved Ride Comfort: Larger tyres can absorb road imperfections better, leading to a more comfortable ride. Potential Drawbacks: - Increased Fuel Consumption: Larger tyres can slightly increase rolling resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption. - Altered Steering Feel: Upsizing can slightly affect the steering feel and responsiveness of the car. - Wheel Well Clearance: Ensure that the larger tyres fit within the wheel wells without rubbing against the bodywork. Recommended Tyre Brands and Models: Here are some excellent tyre options for your Tata Tigor in the 175/65 R15 or 185/60 R15 size: - Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Offers a balance of comfort, quietness, and excellent grip. - Continental PremiumContact 6: Provides a smooth ride, precise handling, and good fuel efficiency. - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Offers a comfortable ride with decent grip and fuel efficiency. - MRF ZLX: A durable and affordable option, known for its performance on Indian roads. Before making a final decision, it's advisable to consult with a tyre expert or your car's manufacturer to ensure compatibility and potential impact on vehicle performance.

Hi, I have a Volxwagon Tiagun, and one tyre burst. Can I replace that with a directional tyre? Or does it only make sense to add directional tyres when all 4 tyres need changing ?
It's generally not recommended to replace just one tire with a directional tire. Directional tires are designed to rotate in a specific direction, indicated by an arrow on the sidewall. This pattern helps channel water away from the tire for better grip in wet conditions. If you replace only one tire with a directional tire, it can create an imbalance in the way the car handles, potentially affecting its stability and safety. Here's what you should do: 1. Replace the damaged tire with a tire that matches the existing tires on your car. This will ensure consistent handling and performance. 2. Consider replacing all four tires at once: If your existing tires are nearing the end of their life or if you want to upgrade to a different type of tire, replacing all four at once is ideal. This will ensure optimal performance and safety. If you like content of my channel then please do subscribe 🙂

I drive a VW Ameo primarily in hilly area ( uttrakhand) , covering around 10,000 kilometers annually, with occasional highway trips. Can you suggest suitable options (4-7k budget)? Tyre size is 185-60-15.
Considering your driving conditions in Uttarakhand, here are tire options for your VW Ameo: Grip and Durability (₹4,500 - ₹5,500): - Michelin Energy XM2: Excellent grip, handling, and durability. - MRF Wanderer: Affordable with good grip but may lack comfort. Value and Comfort (₹4,000 - ₹5,000): - Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51: Balanced comfort and handling, but less durable. - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Fuel-efficient and comfortable, with decent grip. Additional Tips: - Consider all-season tires for snow. - Check load index and speed rating. - Read online reviews and check warranty for peace of mind. Consulting a tire professional can provide personalized recommendations based on your needs.

Bridgestone turanza 6i is symmetry or asymmetrical pattern. Just used them on my polo 2 days back. Seller told those tyres are symmetrical. I want to know from you. Thanks in advance
To check if a tire has an asymmetrical pattern, look for a prominent rotation arrow on the sidewall. If the tire has no direction arrow, it's typically symmetrical, meaning it can be mounted in either direction. I'm intentionally not giving a straight answer because the purpose of this video is for viewers to learn and develop their own understanding of simple technical details like this. Practicing this check independently will help reinforce this skill. If you still have questions, don’t hesitate to ask. And remember, fair rewards for genuine efforts are always appreciated. 🏆😊

@@Vinothkumar-hu8fx The Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 in 215/55R17 is a good fit for the Innova Crysta, but it's not the original size. - Original Size: The Innova Crysta typically comes with 205/65 R16 or 215/60 R17 tires. - 215/55R17: This size is slightly wider and has a lower profile compared to the original sizes. - Impact: - Handling: It might offer slightly improved handling and cornering due to the wider contact patch. - Ride Comfort: The lower profile could result in a slightly firmer ride, potentially reducing comfort. - Fuel Efficiency: It might have a minor impact on fuel efficiency due to increased rolling resistance. - Ground Clearance: The lower profile could slightly reduce ground clearance, which might be a concern depending on your driving conditions. While the 215/55R17 Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 is a good tire, it's crucial to consider the potential impacts mentioned above.

Tires for your Mahindra Scorpio N (18 inch) with 75% highway and 25% off-road driving: - All-Terrain Tires: These tires offer a good balance of on-road comfort and off-road capability, making them ideal for your driving mix. Thank you so much for your appreciation. I am always happy to help viewers 😊🙏
Hyundai Creta 1.6 Petrol 2018 focus on city and highway driving, -
1. Michelin Primacy 4 ST:
- Excellent wet grip and handling
- Comfortable and quiet ride
- Good fuel efficiency
- Durable and long-lasting
2. Bridgestone Turanza T005:
- Comfortable and quiet ride
- Good grip in wet and dry conditions
- Decent fuel efficiency
- Reliable brand with a strong reputation
3. Continental ContiPremiumContact 6:
- Excellent grip and handling
- Comfortable and quiet ride
- Good fuel efficiency
- Advanced technology for optimal performance.
The original 205/65 R16 configuration is well-suited for the Creta. Changing it could affect ride quality, handling, and fuel efficiency. So my personal suggestion is to continue with the same.
Thanks Mahesh Ji 🙏
Hello Sir,
Thanks for the very informative video, really liked it.
Comfortable, quiet, and durable tyre for your Hyundai i20 -
- Michelin Primacy 4+: Renowned for its comfort, low noise levels, and excellent grip. It offers a good balance of fuel efficiency and durability.
- Continental PremiumContact 6: Another premium option known for its quiet ride, comfort, and precise handling. It provides a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency.
- Bridgestone Turanza T005: Offers a comfortable ride with good handling and fuel efficiency.
Budget-Friendly Option:
- MRF ZLX: A popular choice for its durability and affordability.

Due to following resons -
Potential for Rubbing: Upsizing to 215/60 R16 can increase the overall diameter of the tyre, potentially causing rubbing against the wheel arches, suspension components, or the bodywork during steering turns or while driving over bumps.

- Michelin Primacy 4 ST: आराम, शांतता और उत्कृष्ट ग्रिप का संतुलन प्रदान करता है।
- Bridgestone Turanza T005: आरामदायक सवारी, अच्छी ग्रिप और ईंधन दक्षता प्रदान करता है।

My options which i shortlisted are -
1.Apollo Alnac 4G
2.Ceat Secure Drive
@TrekBookIndia Thanks a lot.
Got Apollo Alnac 4G
Very informative video, Mahesh Ji. Very well explained.
Do you have any take on Michelin tyres as well?
I'm considering to upgrade Virtus tyres (currently on CEAT stock tyres), and have narrowed down to 3
1. Michelin Energy XM2+
2. Michelin Primacy 4ST
3. Yokohama Earth
The price difference between Michelin and Yokohama is around 3-4k each tyres. My main drive is in Hills and Highways (60:40). What is your take on this?
Michelin Energy XM2+
- Fuel Efficiency: A strong suit, making it a good choice for your highway driving.
- Comfort: Offers a comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections well.
- Long-lasting: Known for its durability and long tread life.
Michelin Primacy 4 ST
- Wet Grip: Excels in wet conditions, providing enhanced safety and confidence.
- Comfort: Offers a comfortable and quiet ride.
- All-around Performance: A well-balanced tyre with good grip, handling, and fuel efficiency.
Yokohama Earth-1
- Fuel Efficiency: Designed with a focus on fuel economy.
- Comfort: Provides a comfortable ride.
- Durability: Known for its long-lasting tread life.
Given your focus on Hilly and Highway driving (60:40):
- Michelin Primacy 4 ST might be the slightly better choice.
@pranavdogra3018 you are most welcome 😊🙏
@@TrekBookIndia one last question Mahesh Ji.
Currently, car is on 205/55 R16 tyres. And I know many people who have recommended 215/55 R17. How do you see it? Is it advisable to go up in alloy size?
Also, what difference will be there with 205/65 R16 tyres (width increase). If you can explain it, that will be very helpful. Thankyou.
215/55 R17 and 205/65 R16 key dimensional differences:
- Diameter:
- 215/55 R17: Approximately 668mm
- 205/65 R16: Approximately 673mm
- The 205/65 R16 is slightly larger in diameter.
- Width:
- 215/55 R17: 215mm wide
- 205/65 R16: 205mm wide
- The 215/55 R17 is wider.
- Sidewall Height:
- 215/55 R17: 118.25mm
- 205/65 R16: 133.25mm
- The 205/65 R16 has a taller sidewall.
Upgrading to 215/55 R17:
- Pros:
- Improved Handling: Larger wheels and wider tires generally provide better grip and handling, especially in corners.
- Enhanced Aesthetics: 17-inch wheels can give your car a sportier and more stylish look.
- Cons:
- Potentially Harsher Ride: Larger wheels and tires can make the ride slightly stiffer and less comfortable, especially on rough roads.
205/65 R16:
- Pros:
- Increased Ground Clearance: This size provides slightly more ground clearance compared to 205/55 R16, which can be beneficial in certain situations.
- Softer Ride: The taller sidewall can provide a slightly more comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections better.
- Cons:
- Potentially Slower Handling: The taller sidewall might slightly reduce responsiveness and handling compared to 205/55 R16.

- Compatibility Issues: The 250/60/16 tire size may lead to rubbing against fenders or other wheel well parts, potentially causing damage and affecting handling.
- Performance Impact: The larger tire's increased weight and diameter can negatively influence handling, braking, fuel efficiency, and odometer accuracy.
- Warranty Concerns: Using a non-stock tire size like 250/60/16 might void the car's warranty.
- Recommended Brands in Stock Size (205/60 R16):

- Continental: Consider tires like the ContiPremiumContact 5 or ContiEcoContact UC6 for precise handling and performance.

- Yokohama: Choose the BluEarth-GT AE51 or Geolandar G055 for a comfortable ride and good grip.

Thanks for the information very helpful, if you have recommended for dzire vxi which one should I select it's for both city n highway driving
Here are some good tire options for your Maruti Suzuki Dzire VXI considering a balance of city and highway driving:
Focus on Comfort and All-Season Performance:
Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Excellent all-around choice for quietness, comfort, good handling, and long tread life. Well-suited for both city and highway driving. It might be on the pricier side but known for lasting longer.

Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Best overall performance, quietest ride, longest tread life (might be pricier)

I have i20 sportz, want to change tyres so which is one is better bridgestone sturdo or continental uc 6 ?
Please suggest between this
Both Bridgestone Turanza T001 and Continental UC6 are excellent choices for your Hyundai i20 Sportz.
Bridgestone Turanza T001:
Strengths: Known for its comfortable ride, good fuel efficiency, and decent wet grip. A popular choice for those who prioritize comfort.
Weaknesses: Might not offer the same level of handling and cornering grip as some other premium options.
Continental UC6:
Strengths: Offers a balance of comfort, handling, and wet grip. Known for its precise steering response and good fuel efficiency.
Weaknesses: Might be slightly more expensive than the Turanza T001.
Recommendation:
If you prioritize comfort and fuel efficiency, the Bridgestone Turanza T001 is a great option. However, if you want a slightly more performance-focused tyre with good handling and wet grip, the Continental UC6 is a solid choice.
I have a KIA Seltos which is 2 months old and I have the stock tyres i.e Good year assurance triplemax 2 R17 which I realised is comfortable while driving with good grip but creates a lot of noise inside cabin above 80kmph. Which one would you suggest for smooth, quieter ride with good fuel efficiency, driving will be majorly on highways, less in city, and yes budget is not a constraint as I will be exchanging my tyres.

If you prioritize comfort and a quiet ride, Michelin Primacy 4 ST or Continental PremiumContact 6 are good options. If you prefer a sportier driving experience, consider Continental ContiSportContact 5.
Note :
Tyre noise also aka road noise depends upon multiple factors like type of road (tar or cement), interior of car, noise suppression foam padding given by company etc
In case you feel tyre noise in cabin is high, you can goto any 3M car care center and ask them for fitting special noise padding inside doors and you will get super quiet cabin

Firestone is a well-established tyre brand known for its quality and durability.
In terms of durability, Firestone tyres are generally considered to be quite durable. However, the actual lifespan of a tyre can vary depending on factors such as driving habits, road conditions, and proper tyre maintenance.
To maximize the lifespan of your tyres, consider the following:
- Regular Tyre Pressure Checks: Maintain the recommended tyre pressure to optimize performance and reduce wear.
Maruti Brezza VDI, for durability, comfort, and performance, especially considering your focus on long-lasting tyres:
Good Value Options:
- MRF Wanderer: A durable and affordable option, known for its performance on Indian roads.
- CEAT SecuraDrive: Offers a good balance of comfort, grip, and durability at an affordable price.

Upsizing Tyres for Your Tata Tigor: A Cautious Approach
Upsizing to 175/65 R15 or 185/60 R15 for your Tata Tigor can be a good choice to improve ground clearance and potentially enhance ride quality.
Potential Benefits of Upsizing:
- Increased Ground Clearance: This can help protect the underbody from damage on rough roads.
- Improved Ride Comfort: Larger tyres can absorb road imperfections better, leading to a more comfortable ride.
Potential Drawbacks:
- Increased Fuel Consumption: Larger tyres can slightly increase rolling resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption.
- Altered Steering Feel: Upsizing can slightly affect the steering feel and responsiveness of the car.
- Wheel Well Clearance: Ensure that the larger tyres fit within the wheel wells without rubbing against the bodywork.
Recommended Tyre Brands and Models:
Here are some excellent tyre options for your Tata Tigor in the 175/65 R15 or 185/60 R15 size:
- Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Offers a balance of comfort, quietness, and excellent grip.

- Durability: MRF tires are generally known for their strong construction and good resistance to punctures.
- Potentially Lower Cost: MRF tires might be slightly more affordable compared to some Apollo options.
Cons:
- Treadwear: While durable, some user reviews suggest the Perfrenza's tread life might be shorter compared to some competitors.
- Limited All-Season Performance: Perfenza is primarily designed for dry and wet conditions. It might not be ideal for extreme weather conditions like snow.
Apollo Alnac 4G:
Pros:
- Balance of Performance: Alnac 4G offers a good balance of comfort, handling, and fuel efficiency.
- All-Season Capability: This tire performs well in dry, wet, and even light winter conditions.

2. Continental ContiPremiumContact 6:

Hi, I have a Volxwagon Tiagun, and one tyre burst. Can I replace that with a directional tyre? Or does it only make sense to add directional tyres when all 4 tyres need changing ?
It's generally not recommended to replace just one tire with a directional tire.
Directional tires are designed to rotate in a specific direction, indicated by an arrow on the sidewall. This pattern helps channel water away from the tire for better grip in wet conditions.
If you replace only one tire with a directional tire, it can create an imbalance in the way the car handles, potentially affecting its stability and safety.
Here's what you should do:

@@jeevannanaiah1065 Yes, the all-terrain tires listed earlier can be suitable for your Hyundai Verna sedan class, even though they are typically designed for SUVs and trucks. Here's a breakdown of why they might work for you, considering your tire size of 185/65 R15:
Pros of Using All-Terrain Tires for Hyundai Verna (185/65 R15):
1. Versatility: Handles various road conditions, including mud roads in Coorg.
2. Availability: Options like Michelin Primacy SUV, Bridgestone Dueler H/T 687, and Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 are available in your size.
Cons:
1. Slightly Lower Fuel Efficiency: Compared to highway tires.
2. Road Noise: Generates slightly more noise on highways.

Thanks for the useful information. I have Kia Seltos with one of the tyres recently got damaged and in need of replacement. I had Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 215/60 R17. Can you please suggest me which tyre should i get it replaced with. Im looking for good comfort and warranty (unconditional). Thanks in advance :)
Finding an unconditional warranty on tires is rare, as they typically cover defects in materials and workmanship, not wear and tear or road hazards. However, some manufacturers offer good warranties, and here are some suggestions for replacing your damaged Goodyear Assurance Triplemax on your Kia Seltos, focusing on comfort and strong warranties:
- Comfort-Oriented Options:
- Michelin Primacy 4 SUV: Renowned for its smooth ride, quiet operation, and extended tread life. Michelin provides a competitive warranty for their tires.
- Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 SUV: Prioritizes comfort and low rolling resistance, potentially enhancing fuel efficiency. Bridgestone also offers a robust warranty program.
- Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV: Strikes a balance between comfort, quietness, and excellent handling for year-round use. Yokohama warranties are widely recognized for their dependability.
If your current Assurance Triplemax tires are approaching the end of their lifespan, it's advisable to replace all four tires to maintain optimal performance and handling.

Thanks for the information,, I think Yokohama tyres are good for hilly areas
You're partially right! Yokohama does offer tires suitable for hilly areas, but it depends on the specific type of Yokohama tire.
1) Yokohama Geolandar Series: Tailored for SUVs and trucks, providing on-road and off-road capabilities.
- Geolandar A/T (All-Terrain): Suitable for SUVs facing light off-road conditions like gravel roads or mild trails.
- Geolandar M/T (Mud-Terrain): Offers aggressive tread for serious off-roading, less suited for everyday hilly driving.
2) Yokohama BluEarth Winter: While not exclusive to hilly areas, this winter tire ensures traction in snow and cold weather conditions, beneficial in certain hilly regions.
3) Yokohama ADVAN Sport: High-performance tire engineered for sporty handling on paved roads, less ideal for hilly off-road terrains.
4) Yokohama BluEarth AE51: An all-season tire prioritizing comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency, suitable for paved roads in hilly areas but not for off-roading.

You are most welcome 😊🙏

Should i go for continental uc6 ????
The Continental UC6 stands out as a strong contender for your car, given its emphasis on comfort and balanced performance.
With a reputation for delivering a smooth and quiet ride, it's well-suited for city driving.
While its treadwear rating may be slightly lower than some alternatives, its fuel efficiency and brand reliability make it a compelling choice.
Consider exploring alternatives like the Michelin Energy XM2 or Yokohama BluEarth-A (AE50) for comparison before making your decision.

@ 8:17 TrekBookIndia can you pls confirm Goodyear Assurance triplemax 2 215 55r17 is good for innova crysta???
@@Vinothkumar-hu8fx The Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 in 215/55R17 is a good fit for the Innova Crysta, but it's not the original size.
- Original Size: The Innova Crysta typically comes with 205/65 R16 or 215/60 R17 tires.
- 215/55R17: This size is slightly wider and has a lower profile compared to the original sizes.
- Impact:
- Handling: It might offer slightly improved handling and cornering due to the wider contact patch.

Sir I am planning to buy Scorpio N. It has 17 inch alloy and tyres.....I want to replace it with 18 inch alloy and tyre....
My highway running is 75 % and off road running is 25 %....
Can you suggest some best tyre and also dealers in Pimpri who can also buy back my tyres and alloys (new but 17 inch)
Tires for your Mahindra Scorpio N (18 inch) with 75% highway and 25% off-road driving:
- All-Terrain Tires:
These tires offer a good balance of on-road comfort and off-road capability, making them ideal for your driving mix.
Here are some good options:
- Bridgestone Dueler A/T 001: Known for durability, off-road traction, and decent on-road handling.
- Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT/S: [Image of Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT/S tire] Offers a balance of all-weather performance, off-road grip, and highway comfort.
- Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015: Provides a comfortable ride on-road and good traction on loose surfaces.
Dealers in Pimpri who might buy back your 17 inch alloys and tires:
Finding dealers who specifically offer buybacks on new tires and alloys can be tricky. However, here are some general tire dealers in Pimpri you can contact to inquire about buyback options:
- Pandit Tyres: (www.pandit.com/) They have a wide range of tires and might be willing to negotiate a buyback on your new 17-inch setup.
- Popular Tyre House: (www.google.com/mymaps/viewer?mid=1Gtja8OJ3Blb1Vs5VRs9nF8wnva8&hl=en_US) This dealer is known for its competitive prices and might consider your buyback offer.
- Supreme Wheels: (www.google.com/mymaps/viewer?mid=1fR0AANARz2KhGQWdDaDokjVkFlw&hl=en_US) They offer various tire brands and might be interested in a buyback deal.
Disclaimer: I am not connected to any of above dealers by any means. It's always best to call these dealers directly and inquire about their specific buyback policies and pricing for your current 17-inch wheels and tires. Be sure to mention that the tires and alloys are new and unused.
All above are not to be considered as professional advice. Consult your dealer for tyres.

What’s your thought on Yokohama S-drive and Continental UC6 tyres? Which one is best in handling and comfort?
Yokohama S-drive:
- Focus: These tires prioritize handling and performance. They feature a sportier tread pattern and stiffer sidewalls for better grip during cornering and responsiveness.
- Handling: Yokohama S-drives are known for their excellent handling, making them a good choice for drivers who enjoy a more spirited driving experience.
- Comfort: The stiffer sidewalls and sportier tread might translate to a slightly firmer ride compared to comfort-focused tires.
Continental UC6:
- Focus: These tires offer a balance of performance with an emphasis on comfort and all-season capability.
- Handling: The UC6 provides decent handling for everyday driving, but it might not be as sharp or responsive as the S-drive in high-performance situations.
- Comfort: The UC6 prioritizes a smoother and quieter ride due to its softer compound and tread design.
In a nutshell:
- For the best handling: Yokohama S-drive is the clear winner.
- For a balance of comfort and handling: Continental UC6 is a better choice.
