After 5 months of constant work on it here it is - my last animation! I hope i yet again managed to make it nicer and even better. You will love it!
If this cinematic won't blow in views I'll relase all assets and make guide on making Initial D in Blender so everyone can try make one!

The animation is great, feels like a better re-animation of old initial d, the facial expression fits well

The cars move a little unnaturally which could use some work
However, I really love the way you animate the characters, you're really nailing it!
I love how expressive Takumi is with his face, I wish we could have seen more emotions like that from him in the anime.
I know! I wanted to give cars fully physical rig but I wasn't able to make it fast enough. Every car movement was manually animated and Thus prone to errors :l

@@hasko5653 hey, i have done a little car animation in blender and am working on a car atm but there is an absolutely fantastic free addon called Rigacar. There are plenty of tutorials for it on youtube and it makes the process much, MUCH easeir and much more fun in my opinion. You can even get the cars to follow curve objects which is also shown in some tutorials. You have probably seen the addon before but if you haven't already, i really reccomend looking into it. Hope this helps
@@hasko5653 Honestly, I prefer to animate without any Rigs, the animation is more fluid and you have more control over the car.
I recommend playing some games realistics to copy the movements, such as Live For Speed, Assetto Corsa, BeamNG... Or even watching many Drift and Rally videos, it helps a lot ;)

The best part in this recreation is you replace the last eurobeat with "save me" which remind me the old game initial d special stage story mode bgm where player be takumi race kyoichi at akagi and later takumi engine blow up at certain section
I always thought this song fits well to this race!

I'd want to make more too but animations are taking too much effort and tbh I got tired :( There's slight chance there would be another one (Battle with Nakazato or Takumi saving Natsuki) but I don't really plan to do them

I’m suuuper late to this, but I want to say that this animation in incredible. The facial animations are absolutely beautiful, you really grasped the rage and heartbreak that Takumi has during this race. You have a very unique style that kind of reminds me of older 2000s movie animations. I really hope that this won’t be your last animation, but if it is, I wish u the best of luck in the feature with whatever is it that you decide to do. These animations deserve so much more love then what they get :D

No why are you using songs from the second stage and first stage you're supposed to use the songs the ones from the arcade stages

Amazing animation, did you model the engine and everything?
Yeah engine internals were modelled and animated by me (besides crankshaft I couldn't nail it...). Rest is just taken from the games

i think its very good animated with attention to details, like dashboard icons, engine model with rods, facial expression,...you should get much more views,...its sad how very hard work got so low views, when some idi-t do sh-t and his video get 1mil views :/

@@RozvozceTofu most of them are from games but engine internals or Takumi's jacket were modelled by me. But even ready models needed lot of work before being usable!

Animation is great but "Save me" is not suitable for this battle. You should used "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" as it was in original anime.
Thanks! I hear ya! Not everybody likes changes to music. Personally I found "Save Me" as cool pick. New songs spark something new into races for me!
