my mom is from a romanian community in serbia. they had a romanian orthodox church and the government treated them well. my mom spoke both, serbian and romanian. before she died she wanted to go back home. she didnt remember cyrillic. i leanred it. fluently like i can read it as fast as english. my thought was that id learn all 31 letters and read them to her as we drove along. she didnt survive. my culture still lives. i love this song. it brings me home

Hello, dear neightbours. Greeting from Romania! I've always felt a strong connection to this country. Serbia is the first country I've ever travelled to. I can read many alphabets and their versions, but I can read almost fluently the Serbian cyrillic script. I love the language, as it sounds so equilibrated compared to other slavic languages. Serbia is 1 of the very few countries that haven't tried to conquer Romania. All the love from me, without any exception.
You can't imagine how much Serbs love Romania.

Interesting how "daleko" is same in Serbian and Polish. :O in fact, there are so many similarities that many words in this song are completely intelligible to me, as I'm someone who knows Polish. So I don't even need the Serbian to English lyrics for many words. I already understood some things before looking at the translation. :O :O :O

I am shocked that a related tribeman is actually showing love to Serbia. Bombing Serbia is the only justified war America did in the past few decades. Don't compare it to the war in Iraq with Kosova. Unless you wanted to see fellow Muslim Albanians vanished. They killed over the tenth of the Muslim population in Bosnia and would have done the same in Kosova.
