Great insights-and pregnant points, for that matter. Many of the things he discussed here align with Malcolm Gladwell's chapter on 10,000 hours in the book Outliers. Best hours of my morning. As a person transitioning to tech in my early thirties, I needed this.
oh wow, this guy used to be my neighbour in wendani back in 2018/2019, and it was a one bedroom 😂 not bedsitter. We never really talked as much but am glad to see you made it out, being a techie I dint know he was one. Now on totally different paths but I guess we made it out, Most people in that apartment made it tbh, indeed it was our 7th heaven
Wow, a game-changer! I appreciate how clearly and thoroughly you've broken down these complex tech journeys into something that's both understandable and fascinating. Your passion and expertise really shine through.
I feel seen, felt and atttacked directly...currently in the same situation, praying for my big break soon coz .... (Gets slack text to fix a slow page for a project i only accessed to check the techstack)
What a good thing to have come across this great content today, quite timely I would say. Loved the interview, the guy is very composed, speaks his mind and one exceptional thing, is that he is a realist. The most nagging barrier in the tech space today and especially in Kenya I would say is getting to effectively balance btwn surviving & chasing your dreams, like still staying focused on what you want to achieve in the future. That is quite a hard maneuver bt when you crack it, then just wait for the luck he mentioned to happen. #Survivng is winning Frankline, Everything else is bullshit!!
Let me advice you early if that is your intention, stop thinking like a developer and start to think like a business man. It will save you alot and help you move faster, find good people at various role in campus and agree on what they can do. Share alot on social media once you have the MVP
@@DapinEdu0 This is awesome truth, developer's mindset can't get you clients or sales, you'll be thinking how great you wanna make your product and later realize the next billion-dollar feature isn't really necessary to your users, just sell whatever you have.
nice interview ... learnt alot lakini the slides that are passing through could they last longer next time they feel like flashes and one has to rewind the video, then pause to check it out..
I think it's an amazing profession. I have a number of friends in it. Personally, I was just naturally inclined to this other side. Sumbuana nayo, pia hio iko sawa
Most developers are bedroom developers. You earn to be known, and most haven't paid the price yet....to be a super-hero be out there we will recognize you.
