Chris Paul will never get called out by the media for whatever reason. Maybe because he's small and average people can identify with him, maybe because of those commericials. KD could have worked a little bit harder to push his team to the championship (they literally lost in game 7 of wcf) instead he chose the easy way out and joined the already a really good team, the warriors. KD was on a legit contender, and still left just to win easy with the dubs.

Unfortunately, it's still a tall man's game. Steph is pretty much the only smaller guy that's won recently as a number 1 option and he had a perfect system, teammates, luck and front office.

Ngl, Russ is the perfect example on why the NBA media needs to chance how they talk about players. All they talked is about highlights and advance stats, just a superficial basketball most of the time. Is he overpaid? Yes. Is he a bad player or teammate? Hell no. At the end Russ didnt finessed his game like a great player should do in order to stay relevant and impactful, because they got slower and older.
