The distraction method looks brilliant. I have a job where my superiors manufacture emergency a lot, ordering me to drop things I'm doing, then I conveniently become the scapegoat whenever something is delayed. I'll definitely be implementing this in my work planning, thank you!
For me, the monthly layout is combination of my calendar, dashboard, and project management. The box representing days, I use it as my calendar, writing appointments, travel, events, etc. The left side of my monthly layout is a side bar that i use to set my top 3 priorities of that month (related to project). And then on the bottom side i have some extra space that i use to make a gantt chart, and i connect this gantt chart with the time estimation of how many days that i will allocate to work on my priorities that month according to the schedule that I have outlined in the calendar. I set this up every month, usually end of month for the next month agenda. And every week, before my weekly planning. I look up to the monthly page, and see my gantt chart to kind of remind me of what should I do on that week. I find it really helpful
I track the weather for each day and I write the Bible app verse of the day as well. I don't need to do either, it has just gotten me to read and interact with the Bible more. This wouldn't be useful for a lot of people, I'm just on a journey that I'm working toward creating a life I want. I also use a Hobonichi Cousin so, I do plan my week in the weeks section, and in the dailies I journal each night and add what actually happened (as compared to what was planned). I have found this good for looking back at what I'd like to change in terms of habits where I get "stuck" just sitting and watching TV. In the weekly section I also have a to do list and put my word of the year on each week as well as some goals. This year has been a big step in my evolution and I feel like this has helped me. It is the first time, this far into the year, I have done anything every night.
I love the monthly as a gratitude spread, similar to your last suggestion. And I love looking back at them too! I use more calligraphy style pens, but still just stick to pen only to keep it fun but easy to do. Picking a few colors as the month’s color theme has also been fun!
Since I have a Google calendar and shared family calendar, I don't use the monthly spread as a forward planning page, as it would be redundant. I use it instead for tracking my climbing and hiking activities.
I would love to use my monthly voews more because i really like the odea of having everything at a glance to look back on, but i am not sure what to use it for. I do not have a lot of set appointments or events. Ibgot a couple of ideas here thank you.
So helpful, I love the dashboard idea and I dont know why it didnt occur to me before! Ive been doing all my tracking on a weekly spread but because of this ive moved some new goal habits to the month page.

These kinds of videos are my absolute FAVORITE! Talking about the HOW and WHY instead of the WHAT!

my monthly spreads are where all my health information goes. weird symptoms, heart rate, what kind of exercise, if i took a nap, etc
Having a plotted out fanfic goal 😍
This was the best video I have seen on monthly planning. Thanks for being so open to share this for others to improve their planning ❤
I love the log method ❤. It's amazing never thought about it. Thank you for this video . 🥰🥰

Yay fellow planner & fanfic writer! 🎉 Thank you for showing how you plan your fics!
xTiles looks so interesting o0o thank you for this video, monthly planning is underrated
I love the ideas. I just got some ideas for my personal planner and work planner.
Thank you so much for this video! I just took out my monthly calendar from my Travelers Notebook but I will add it back in and try again.

The goal planning set up is perfect! I'll try that.
you are too brave to expose this Ginny fanfic fr fr 😅😅
I’m having trouble meeting my writing goals, so I appreciate the inspo. Which fandom are you writing for? I write TwiFic.
Love your media spread!

"I can't do anything on Wednesdays because I have Survivor" lmao most relatable sentence on all of youtube 😅
Great video. Thank you
Which Sterling Ink planner is this?
May I ask … what do u do for work?
In case she doesn't answer... She does some kind of digital media management for a university
Now I want to read your book)

There are 13 moons in a year.
The music behind you is so distracting. I really like watching your content with this exception. What is the purpose of drowning your voice out?
It’s usually to drown out the sound of the neighbor’s landscapers
I dont find monthly planning useful. it is only 4 weeks. quarterly is so much more useful a unit.
The moon cycle is 13 times per year!
