You are no doubt facilitating activations and awakenings! Every time I gripped the ground with my feet with intention to connect, I know that there was an energy exchange between me and Mother Gaia!! Thanks for subscribing from Australia! If you're not used to being barefoot, there are muscles in the feet we do not use well while wearing shoes, especially high heels. If you've worn heels for years you may need to go slowly as you strengthen the muscles in your feet to work correctly. Please consult your doctor whenever you start a new workout routine, he may suggest something to assist with the pain or help gauge your progress. @@sinis8 great question! Yes, belly dancing strengthens the core muscles and can help pull those muscles back in. What it won’t do is pull the fascia back in, which is the connective tissue, but again strengthening muscles is always a positive.

Ok I have to admit the squeezing of the inner thighs during a straight leg shimmy was especially hard for me; everything just tenses and I loose the shimmy. Sometimes I feel it's best when I don't think about it too much and relax actually. Moving intuitevely. Perhaps the squeezing part will come to me with time. Thank you for the lesson, Portia, as always🧡
Miss P, I am over the moon 😄😄😄 Bc I did my first real undulation today. Since I developed PCOS, my lower back pain has stiffened my mobility and my posture so my undulations have looked like wacky robotic moves, but today, I looked like a snakey !!! 🐍😆
Yay!!!! You GO my friend. Yeah, undulations are extremely intricate for the brain to comprehend and send the right message through the nervous system to the muscles. It’s like fine motor skills in writing. Takes a while but eventually we all learn cursive, right?!

The ladies in the pink (Val) and the blue (Ana) are in their 60's and the lady in the corner in purple (Cheryl) is 78: belly dance is all they do! I made the painful mistake of doing this the day after leg day. HOO I’m sore. It’s a good burn though, this helped me with my technique a TON!
