I looked up Sarikamis, and found it was very lucky you didn't go in Winter. There was a major battle there in 1914 to 1915 between the Russian and Ottoman Empires, during which about 25,000 Turkish soldiers froze to death. Hard to imagine when we see you on Donny in a T-shirt!
Prefer this part of Turkey for beauty, (at least from your cameras?), beautiful! As for a riding partner in a foreign land making questionable off road decisions(?), I have learned to make my own decisions to do what is safe for me regardless of whether we remain friends or not? Adventure is fine, getting into trouble is not! (Thanks for listening). Good ride. Rola (Oregon / USA)
Hi, i'm enjoying watching your vlog series. I wish you good luck for the rest of the trip. I want to clarify something, there are two types of fuel stations in Turkey. The first group is 'well' brand stations, which is Shell, Opet, Petrol Ofisi, Turkiye Petrolleri, Aytemiz, BP, Total etc. And second group is 'meh' branded stations. I can't name a specific one but you can figure out with funky made-up names such as CemOil, MemOil etc. First group is for everyone, they sell gasoline, diesel, lpg. But second group generally used by truck drivers and other agricultural machines such as tractors or harvesters. Due to 'targeted costumers' they generally offer only cheap rural diesel. As long as you didn't leave the main roads, you can find gasoline anywhere in Turkey. If you are in small towns or rural places, try getting gasoline in central locations.
I think it was just a weird moment. In turkey it was the only time we couldn't find fuel and we were in a city called "Horasan" I went to 5 fuel stations in the town, none of them had petrol. But we did find fuel eventually :)
@@RideWithAlex it's just a code for us, i didn't realize it's a problem untill i watched foreigner's videos. If you spend 'enough' time in Turkey, you can understand the code too. Eastern part is some kind of weird us too.
@@RideWithAlex Be safe mate and continue to inspire us. Some day i want to do similar route with my camper van. I hope i can find time to do it. Till then i watch videos like yours. :)
Hi mate, I know ur busy right now with the trip. But I have a quick question , I got my self a Sym Mask 125 ( 2020)( which apparently ive seen it under this name only in UK , everywhere else is called Orbit III) and I've just done 1700km , bought it when it was 1200km . Now I've changed the oil , and used Castrol Fully Synthetic 10w-30 as is said in the manual. (10w-30 or better grade) That's where I'm getting confused because everywhere I look on RUclips or Internet they all seem to used 10w-40 . Will 10w-30 affect my engine negatively in any way?
Little did Alex know he would go full scale moron when he discovered the Sym ADX 125 sometime after this video. A scooter who loves those paths and gravel roads.

There's a lot of history in that region.

It was ok, got me a bit out of my comfort zone and explore more, it was good that we were a bit different because both of us learned from the other.

Hi, Alex, do you have any roadside assistance when you travel abroad and, if yes, what is the cost roughly? Thanks
No I don't, I figure it out if and when I have a problem.
What brand and model helmet are you wearing in this video? Looks like it’s what I’m looking for.
It's a Scorpion Exo-City
Salut! Cum ai facut posibil cruise control-ul pe scuter?

@@RideWithAlex I want to have one because I don't like scooter with 💦 water 💦 radiator
@@abakri.r.6966 Well I am very happy with myne, have done 31000km in 18 months with no issues, and highly recommend this model.
@@RideWithAlex Great! I find your scooter is good because the wheels are big, and two rear shock absorbers, and its size light can fit between cars

Hello, I use 10w40 for my scooter, i don't know if it will hurt it with 10w30 never tried.

Yep 😂
“Man’s worst enemy is himself”, couldn’t be more true. Soon to be destroying the whole planet. Without humans this planet would be a paradise.

Another interesting video. Donny is a hero 🛵 Are you planning to a oil change and filter? I think Donny deserves it.
Oil change was done in Tibilisi at the 3000km mark but I didn't film it, just a quick job at an auto shop, they let us work in a corner.
