I’m a repairer as well Dean, and I hope folk note from this repair that we can’t always “just tell” what the problem is over the phone or even by running the problem tool. Let alone tell them what it will cost. And a 6 min video doesn’t mean it’s a 6 min job!
That's a very good point. Must make more of a point to note this in some videos. Iv had loads of people massaging me simple saying their tool is not working. "How much will it cost to fix". 🧙♂️
Another great thing about Makita is they break down the sub assemblies a bit more as available parts. You can often change out a switch, or a stator, even in a brushless tool.
@@zaxmaxlax I managed it a few months ago but have absolutely no memory of doing it except I've got a working Makita Multitoo!l thanks for showing interest.

Makita is one of the more cost effective to repair their parts are alot cheaper than Dewalt and definitely mikwaukee

How did that bearing just fall out like that????
Its stuck in like it's glued together.
Please please tell me how to separate an armature from the crank house of a Makita 3010 oscillating tool 240v I’m desperate thanks
Look for the exploded view drawing and try to figure out how it is put together.

I rescued one of these from the jobsite dumpster, it's making similar noises and it won't function
then this is all you have to do to fix it
