Love your new boat, because of salt Strong now have a huge stable kayak and rigging it out . Trolling motor anchor motor and your rods ,reels .baits .red tide never hurts you, but for couching me is off the water
Since i moved to Port Richey ive been getting skunked and its super frustrating…. I came from fishing freshwater majority of the time to an obsession with saltwater! It will come one day but im looking at joining the Salt strong community… look forward to learning a bit!!

Fishing new areas is always a learning experience. Try to apply patterns you might have learned in other areas if you find places in your new area that are similar. I don't know where you came from but the PR area doesn't get nearly as much fishing pressure as the Tampa Bay area. Look for areas with multiple changes like depth, grass patches, potholes, chell bottom, oyster bars, run-outs, channel edges, small pinch points, passes, water temperature, bottom make-up, and that kind of thing. Changes are the keys.
Is this deeper water? We use almost the same setup with great success but we just use the weighted hoss x hooks. Love those power prawn. Just wondering if the added weight is because it’s deeper there.
These docks are about 6 ft at the deep end, so the 1/4 oz jig heads are very helpful in getting down to the bottom (especially if the current is moving).

Another nice video. I can't wait use my new Hoss helix. I have fished couple times with dolphins around & never saw this aggressive behavior. I'll be sure no free meals for them.
We are in the Florida (Tampa) area and the red tide is not bad here, we know it present in other nearby areas, we would recommend checking with local tackle shops in the area you are visiting.

Great video... when using 20lb test do you go with a 4 strand or 8 strand

Did you do any taping and fishing at Alligator Point while on vacation?
Yes, here's a link to see a video from my morning wade fishing trip there: www.saltstrong.com/articles/catch-fish-while-on-vacation/
