Thanks for this video! Finally a person who does the paracord wrap without wrapping the ring on the handle. The ring is an essential part of knives based on that particular design.
I recommend using a fresh utility knife for the final cut. It's sharper than most people get their knives and you don't have to worry about dulling it.
The end knot is great! I start the same way but pinch the paracord underneath the top part of the skeletonized handle to avoid the bump.... kind of tricky but no bump and can’t see the start in the weave. Cheers!
My Izula II (with the full micarta scales) is probably my most used blade. Its on my 24/7. Super light, super concealable, and out of the way. Combine that with my Wave and i have my perfect edc. My any folder is redundant after that, buuuut redundancy makes me happy sometimes.
Same here man. The Izula is the “folding knife killer” in my mind. I would always buy folders and think they were awesome. The day I bought my first Izula, was the day I stopped carrying them.
@@axeslasher4204 Same here, two years later now. Izula-II & Wave+ and I'm covered. I bought a gear wallet, just to always have the Bit Kits/Extender & Firesteel in, along with my regular wallet stuff, and a Petzl Tactikka headlamp for my light. Carried this for years now, and it's been perfect 👌🏻
I must say, so far I am really impressed! The edge thickness is great!!! Once I strip the blade, this thing will be a SLICER! I am very happy with the purchase and the price!
I cant guarantee it will work. Im not familiar with that specific knife, but it should! Good luck! If you have an ig, feel free to tag me in a picture of the result!
Great video! Thanks for sharing how you wrapped your knife. I did this to my Izula today. Great turnout. Great ergos as well. A little hard to see sometimes with the camera focus. Maybe this would be redone on that Izula video you wanted to do.
I have that knife. Used a chemical to remove paint on blade only. Have g10 scales. I wrapped another knife handle similar to this a couple yrs bk. I will be going bk to this vid and duplicating this wrap on my 14. Thx for sharing.

I agree!
Thanks for the tutorial!!

I’m going to try it without gutting it. I’d like to have it for survival purposes. Not using the same knife but thanks for the technique idea.
That was interesting. I did enjoy it...thanks for showing us this technique, Jacob!
My pleasure!

Redundancy makes sense!

I love my bk14! One of the best knives for the price.

Thanks Dude. Going to try this technique on my Shrade SCHF 5N. May have to have your vid on loop and watch a few times first though!

Thanks for the video! Definitely helpful! If you ever get up north, me and my hiking buddies from Church go hiking in Colorado regularly. Look us up!
My pleasure! Sounds LEGIT!!!
Awesome. Similar to how I wrap knife handles without skeletonized handles. God bless you.

I plan on doing the same i think! Im a fan! I have an izula coming in, we will see how they match up!
you da man thanks!
Nice job 👍
Anyone know what this kind of wrap is called?
It'd be nice to know from the very beginning how long the piece of cord should be.
True! I would guess that 6' would be more than enough
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors For my Izula, I only needed 2.75 ft, but I cut 4 ft for good measure.
Ohh after a stripped the paint a boiled white vinegar and raised the steel over the steam for about a min on each side speeding up my patina
Nice!
Bonjour quel est le nom de ton couteau
Cest un Becker bk-14
That's gonna loosen with hard use
Nope, not if you do it right.
