- There's a reason there's so many pearls down there. It's because scavengers don't survive to bring them back up.

Fun fact: There is one brother long legs in disguise here. It's actually a daddy long legs, but with brother long legs coloring. Brother long legs are blind an deaf while daddies are blind but have a keen sense of hearing as well as being far bigger. Usually, daddy long legs will eat brother long legs, but that isn't the case with this one.
9:10 Scavenger hero, it jumped into the water to throw an explosive spear at the disguised brother long legs, sacrificing itself so that you could escape.

Honestly, I was pretty certain I was going to die at that point. When you see a red centipede on the screen, you might as well already be dead most of the time...
that is one of the most successful cycles I've ever seen in this game

The backgrounds in garbage wastes are really interesting. For example, is that a subway car I c at 5:45?
There's also a little but of farm arrays stuff in the room where the overseer tells you about scavs liking pearls.
In the dev log of Garbage Wastes, the devs said they would use a bunch of objects from other regions to foreshadow them.

I'd be really interested to see how a daddy long leg would act in 0g without anything to cling on to. At least in the water (I think) they can swim a little bit. I'm not sure if they can eat leeches, but they can't seem to eat coalescapedes, so I assume they'll also have difficulty with leeches.
I've heard you can use custom levels with the sandbox mode, so maybe its possible to find out?
You can build custom arenas and add them to the game, but I have no idea how to get the level editor to work. I suppose it probably wouldn't be too difficult though!
Their tentacles just stand in one place without any movement, it's kind of boring to watch

2:27 if I saw this I’d have a heart attack, centipedes are basically impossible to maneuver past if you don’t have another way around them.
I get frightened if the Centipede in question is bigger than the Slugcat. Red Centipedes would instantly kill me in real life
@@JetFalcon710 I'm pretty sure a 7 to 12 meters long centipede with electroshocking abilities would make quick work of anyone in real life
@@Toluj330 aren't slugcats like 9 inches though? Would only be a little bit bigger than your average centipede (and it would most likely classify to be the most dangerous bug types and the one that hurts most when it attacks.)

I didn't know there was a proto-brother long legs. Those vines look EXACTLY like huge sickly boogers, it's actually pretty disgusting.

The one pearl on top. Normally you get by passing though the pipes & those poles under. The problem is that one pipe that goes down with the pole below. It’s freaking hard because the damn SlugCat doesn’t wanna grab the pole. It graves the pole when feels like it. I tried press down bit by bit until it graves the pole but many times the SlugCat doesn’t.
I never thought of get the top pearl the way you did. You are smart, thank you. Also if someone knows a better way to grave a pipe below you, help me. I tried also press up, nothing.
What happened to the red centipede at 3:20? It just... disappeared. Did the Daddy eat it?

Edit: I just looked at the video again, and I think the disguised DLL did eat it
The Daddy did eat it. You can see the tumors quivering, they only ever do that when they've eaten something

@@wiltedcordypetals You could actually make quick work with dlls too, just have some explosives and a explosive spear and they just die.
This is the only part of hunter I dont understand. It comes before survivor, so why has the brother Long legs infection _receded_ over time? Shouldn't it have grown? I mean obviously the reason is to make it less difficult but what's the lore reason?
The rot feeds off of five pebbles. Since it has been ejected from its host it can't feed off of him anymore. It can still find food but it's not enough to stay alive, so you see the brother long legs slowly starving to death over the course of the game.
I havent played hunter yet, i thought the difference in game modes was only the difficulty. Is there lore behind it too? Hunter, survivor and monk are different slugcats? If so, does monk's journey come after the survivor's?
@Blackout It's also possible many of the enemies exclusive to Hunter migrated, since cant things not stay dead in Rainworld? Potentially it's due to lack of food, as rhose predators likely required a great deal of it and were nomadic.
@Blackout Most - if not all - of the hunter enemies can be encountered on survivor or monk via the lineage mechanic. So they're not extinct but rarer.
@@darpe.d5603 monk is survivors brother searching for him, and hunter was sent by no significant harassment (a nearby iterator) to "revive" looks to the moon, wich is before survivor and monk, since she is alive during their journey

Looks like it. Despite their size, they are actually capable of traversing pipes, and if you lure a DLL over to a pipe and then go through it, the DLL might try to go through
@Peter Henry the Latex Furry On one of my saves, the Daddy Long legs in the room at the top of the Leg went through the leftwards pipe on its own...I spent most of the rest of the cycle trying to lure it back into its room, watched as it went up top and ate the Yellow Lizards there, and by the time I managed to get it down, I didn't have enough time to try and reach an Underhang den ;v;

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!! A scavenger got into my shelter & it’s stealing all my weapons that I pay for!! Every time i load into the game. The scavenger is there!! If I killed it I would lose the record of Saint & who knows what would happen to my reputation!

Do you have the chieftain? If so, you can steal them back WITHOUT any consequences, since they consider it as "borrowing".
How do you sheathe your spear behind your back like that??
You can only do it as hunter by holding grab

1:50 why is there only 1x BLL here? When I do this section there are 4.
I know this is 4 months late but it's because everything is going on in the background (only in the region ur in), so if ur in garbage wastes for example, even BLLs can travel to that room, but the BLLs in garbage wastes (as far as I know) only patrol the areas with alot of pearls.
Also depends if how long it took for u to get to that section, remember, in this game, it doesn't matter if ur there or not to see it, but shit is going on everytime.
