I have the feeling that if it does honour the name and end as it should, the audience of this movie is going to be very upset. Pretty iffy on the Goethe connection either way. Still, let's hope it inspires some people to read the original.
@@bethcunningham6331 would honestly surprise me if this doesnt have a happy ending, youre right. but i dont think the movie is made for people who read the book, its just another romcom somewhat based on a classic (just that some of the others had less cheesy writing)

@@muhahahahha Have you seen Young Goethe in Love? It's German with subtitles. So good. A wonderful adaptation of the Werther story.
