Great Video - thanks for posting this! As a Roche I know I am descended from Godebert de Fleming of Pembrokeshire, I believe both his sons Richard & Rodebert were Knights involved in the invasion.

They were as were Rodebert's sons Adam and David (if memory serves). Adam was granted a large estate on the north side of the River Slaney just across from Wexford Town. A really remarkable family!

Yes i'm just back from a visit to Pembrokeshire where I visited Roch Castle & St Jerome's Church in Lllangym both founded by Adam de la Roche (de Rupe) - fascinating history there!

@@DavyCR88 Sounds like a brilliant trip. I'm so chuffed that so many descendants of the invaders have got in touch with me. Keep in touch and do check out my book series!

@@ruadhbutler9143 Thanks, I have sent you a FB request, if you accept I can share the vids I have of Roch Castle and St Jerome's Church for you to view. St Jerome's actually contains the 1130 Pipe Roll which has Godebert de Fleming listed on it.

There is a castle Roche in Louth, stunning building. Would it have been from the same Roche family?
