Hi! I’m Yusuke from Karate Dojo waKu. Great technique and message! In Japan nowadays, we don’t see many people using that Mae Geri + Oi Zuki combination, but I think it’s totally useful! Thanks for your insight Jason!
You hide the Haito Uchi so well, I feel like it looks like a gyaku zuki, and then it would come over the top as such a surprise, I am studying the way you do this technique, it is actually brilliant 🔥
The haito. We do a lot of the haito strikes at our dojo due to the influence of Sensei Kase Ha. I will say this, it's been a bit too smokey due to the fires for the past two weeks in the Sacto Valley to train in the backyard. Orange and brown skies. Great video! Thanks.
Hey John, yes this was filmed before the smoke got really bad, currently I’m limiting my outdoor activity. The positive side is that is building my urge to train and refine technique. Hope all is well, stay safe 🙏🏽
Hello Jason , First Thank you for this vidéo, very enjoy to see aito ( as when i was young ), i prefer technics number 5. Just a word : you must always keep your guard in kimute. Anyway , thank you very much , you help us to remenber how karaté 's technics are rich. Phil ( sorry for my english ).
i was scrolling through and learning the basics.. i’m 14 going into highschool do you think i should take lessons aswell instead of trying to learn myself?
Hey champ, Glad you found my channel, I’d safe it is always best to study under a competent school or master in person. Nothing comes close and will ever substitute learning directly from the source. However, as you know, we are in very troubling times so that may not be possible. Learning online is perfect for these days, and also to supplement your learning outside the dojo. For example if one student only studies twice a week at his/her dojo, and they don’t take time outside of dojo to practice at home-they will be inferior to the student who trains twice a week at the dojo and studies from other masters online. So hope that answers your question my friend! OSS, Jason
I have been showing you to some of my students and I want them to learn kumite because soon we will be doing Bugei training. I am wondering what city you are in?
Just a feedback, yr kizami is not going in when its in the combo. Gotta make sure yr kizami is "full" in any combo 🤟👍 and have a small jerk to the front before every kizami. Both legs "hop" forward for like 3 inches then jab. It is so important to score and get the right distance. An iran national coach taught me that.
That was some high level advice, thank you sir, I am a humble student and always want to improve, please give me more feedback! You seem like you have high level karate skills.
@@SENSEIJASON i dont have a high skill 😂 just a state fighter. I am very lucky to have my country hire an iranian coach who coached iran national team and an ex wkf fighter. He lost to rafael aghayev 2-0 before 😂 . Love yr videos 🤟🤟
@@pantera654321 yup thats the main purpose of jab in 1,2 but still gotta go in full. Cause with an experienced fighter, a halfway jab will make him attack right away and yr 2 cant be completed. Have a full jab eventhough is not gonna land, but he will move back, then u go in for the 2. Hope that helps mate
Hey it's me again! j. sensie i have got an international match forward it's KATA competition..... So PLEASE help me out with this.....this time please and of course tell ur wife I said hello
Hi friend, What Kata are you practicing or planning to use in competition? What are your specific questions about kata? Let me know and I'll do my best. Also my wife now has a youtube channel! Subscribe to her channel here :) ruclips.net/video/I98UAWsuzw8/видео.html

I would start by practicing each kata at minimum 10 sets each. Work your way up from slow to intense by the 10th set. And during the first few sets of practicing your kata, you should focus about staying low and deep in your stance and make corrections. Hope that helps for now

That Haito was sooo sick 🥊⚡️
Totally agree!
It is one of the great underutilized techniques of kumite
Haito is ridge hand, very deadly technique actually if landes right on temple ot orbital bone
Yes sir
Looks so beautifull and balanced
Thanks boss!
few things. 1. what style of karate do u do? 2. for the mae geri into oi zuki another punch after the first would be a good way to end the combo.
I was formally trained in Shotokan karate, and yes adding another punch would be an excellent way to end the combo. Great feedback! OSS!

sensai how to block or counter an opponent when he is hitting a chudan mawashi giri with full momentum
If it is a full momentum kick, I would shift back or try to catch the kick. It would not be smart to block a full force kick.

Hmm..jab can be used effwctively as a feiny if the intention is to land the gyaku zuki as final punch
