I still use my Griots Garage boars hair brush that I bought 20 years ago to wash my 2002 Boxster . Is that still considered ok or should I change to a microfiber mit?
If the brush is still in great shape, and is meeting your expectations, keep using it. The boars hair wash brush and wash mitt are simply different "tools" and provide different ways of washing a vehicle etc. Personally, I use the boars hair wash brush and a telescoping pole to wash taller vehicles that are harder to reach with a wash mitt.
Tip for Fuchs wheels: every few months, after cleaning the wheels, apply a coat of petroleum jelly on them and then buff out with a soft cloth towel (this is actually recommended in the owner's manual!)
Hi at first glance this quickly falls into the "TLDR" category. I'm sure there's alot of great info but in this age of quick videos (TikTok etc) would there be a way to make a 5-min "executive summary" or "people with ADHD summary" of this video? And then if we want more details we can always watch the full 1+ hour. Thanks!
So many excellent products out there to use. The unfortunate situation with Griot's is that they insist on branding everything they offer and their prices are not competitive with other products that are widely available that often work much better than the Griot offering.
Very sorry the session did not meet your expectations. I personally know both Larry from Ammo and Matt from Obsessed Garage and they are very knowledgeable.
I like the look of the replacement cloth/towel for a clay bar. Lots of good tips here.
Glad it was helpful!
I’ve used Griot’s products for 15+ years. Great advice here on a “normal person” level.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the reply!

Very disappointing. Talk instead with Yvan Lacroix at DIY, or Ammo NYC or Obsessed Garage for top notch detailing advice.
We enjoy this folks too. Hopefully we can do a show with them some day.
