I have a query. I have a small dream to do phd from one of the top colleges in world, like ivy league ones, mit, etc. I am planning to use my mtech as testing waters to know if I really have interest in research. So what would be better choice out of IITB and IISC to get a good chance of getting phd offer from such top institutes? Is there any difference in my chances if I do mtech in iisc vs iitb, or do both places have professors with a high weighted recommendation for phd? I am sure to pursue phd in AI field, even if I do mtech in cs.
First of all, doing Mtech to check whether research suits you or not is a good strategy. I did the same. Now, IITB or IISc? As I explained in my lastest video and one of my previous videos, both are doing great in research but its not so simple that if you join either one, your chance of getting into top USA university is secured. Depending on how good is ur mtech project guide is and how good research you will do in Mtech, your future will be fixed. Now personally I feel in AI/ML Research IITB is better place than IISc. So I will recommend you to join there. But u have to work really hard even there to get some paper in good publication so that u can get into top USA colleges.
Do mtech csa/ai/cds students get international offers in iisc bangalore for data science roles because no one talks about international offers getting in iisc?
@@kishalaydas bro after working 2-3 years in some software company if the company sponsor for higher studies will iisc accept that employee and give him seat and be eligible for placement?

IIT Delhi also has Mtech CSE HVA a 3 yrs course with stypand 22000 rs,here you need to do assistantship of 20 hrs/week

I don't think all companies are allowed for sponsored mtech.. only few PSUs like ISRO DRDO defence has those privileges in iisc

I don't think...check eligibility criteria.. generally they ask for btech and equivalent degree

Iisc has a good group working on crypto and system security. IITkgp also working good in these areas. U can join any one of them.

If you don't like, u should definitely change. But first see if changing guide helps you there.
