i think the part about hpl being superior to lasers is kinda misleading. lasers are absolutely capable of producing short pulses of light. in fact, lasers are most commonly associated with high frequency (sub-nanosecond) pulsed light
Laser is not painful, bikini area is painful only when on menstrual cycle. and best results are exfoliate the area everyday to help hair follicle fall out.
@@kulkutha6148 it’s not necessarily painful it has discomfort but if you do experience pain, try using a lower level. If it’s still painful apply lidocaine for a few minutes and wipe off, eventually you will become use to it.

if your wife has facial hair she needs testosterone blockers and maybe need to change her diet. she should speak to a doctor about that as it means she has too much testosterone in her body.

The manual says never use the device on nipples or genitals. Laser treatments are very common in genital areas, so I don't understand why this device should't be safe for that areas, it looks like HPL is much harmless than laser. Can someone explain?
It can be purchased at Silkn.com/flash-and-go. The newest models have been re-designed to be even more ergonomic, and come with more pulses. Check out the Flash&Go Express and Compact!
If you wax or tweeze, you're removing the follicle, which is what you're trying to do in the first place with the ipl; while when you shave the follicle, it is still intact for the laser to zap it. When used persistently and consistently over a period of time (length is different for everyone), the follicle will eventually weaken and die, a reduction in hair growth then is eventually noticed. Waxing or tweezing the hair while using ipl, defies the whole purpose; the ipl laser not finding anything to zap while sending the electrical/laser surge, might just burn your skin.
What is a hair? Well, one primary role is that a hair is part of your "touch sensing" mechanisms: the follicle is surrounded by thousands of nerve endings. Ever felt an ant or spider crawling on your arm? Thus, if ANY technique "heats the follicle (burns it) enough to disable hair growth," you ARE going to feel it. You cannot "burn the follicle/skin" and not feel it! Painless? No such thing! This is just another home unit that will produce zero permanent results. After a year of using devices like this, it will end up in your drawer and you will be back to shaving ... now that's a guarantee!
Are you not aware that laser hair removal exists? You know it's a 100% proven effective method, right? At most there is a little discomfort during laser hair removal. The problem you're having is that you think they're claiming it kills the hair follicle instantly, but that's not what's going on. Each time you use it, it simply slightly burns the follicle root, repeat uses over months results in the root finally being damage enough that it's killed, and, unfortunately to those suffering from baldness, hair follicle roots do not grow back by themselves. We're talking about damaging very tiny areas in your skin. Mosquitoes pierce down into your skin and you don't feel a thing until it itches. And you can pluck large amounts of hairs with a rotating epilator and you barely feel a thing because it keeps pressure on your skin while it does it so no significant stretching occurs to cause pain.
I can guarantee I have more laser experience than you do ... 40 years at this and involved in the business at ALL levels. If you are having laser ... well, good luck ... hope it works for you. After your success ... then wait a couple years and see if it really worked on you. sometimes it does ... sometimes ... FAIL!
Thank you for your feedback. All of our hair removal devices use optical light energy that targets the pigment in the hair shaft and turns to heat. The energy is absorbed into the hair follicle while the surrounding tissue remains at a normal temperature. We have five energy levels and recommend that all customers use the device on a level that it most comfortable for them. As you continue your treatments you will notice changes in the hair growth pattern, the hair will grow back finer and some areas will show a no hair growth. These areas with no hair growth have been targeted by the energy while in its active phase and eventually only maintenance treatments are needed before the hair is completely diminished.
