These two cases are not even remotely the same. The only similarity is that this defendant was a police officer. Truth be told, no matter what the charges against a police officer are, they are routinely given far less than the maximum amount of time allowed.

why bc your bloodthirsty and dont think the maximum penalty for manslaughter which is 4 years btw is enough? he got 6 btw. thanks for letting all of us normal ppl realize that ppl like you are full of crap and just want revenge and you dont care about justice or doing whats right as long as your emotions are satisfied its just in your mind. lmfao here it comes hes gonna say he murdered him but he didnt it was manslaughter and just bc someone died doesnt mean it murder and diserves the highest sentence. i swear i live in missouri and i was looking into this case to be sure if the cop is guilty or not i think he diserves the 6 years but no more based on the evidence but ppl like you are starting to make me think he doesnt diserve any charges. be happy he went to jail now im on the fence wondering if i should sign a petition sent to me in the mail to allow him to get a appeal bc your actions prove to me that ppl dont care about justice just revenge and im not punishing a cop just bc you want blood. congrats your actions may allow him to appeal his sentence thank you for reminding me that ppl want to unjustly punish cops for their own personal satisfaction. lmfao

The people speaking on the detectives behalf forgot to bring up one thing, he's a murderer and from the evidence I heard in the trial they found a gun which was planted in the body was staged? And why did it only take 9 seconds from the time the police arrived from the time the cops or should I say the cop murdered this guy. What was his excuse, he pointed a gun at my partner. Then the evidence was brought up that he never had a gun and the body was staged to make it look like he had a gun. I don't know why he's not being charged with the murder. Just my opinion but I'm hoping every cop that sees this outcome thanks twice about gunning somebody down and then lying about it. Ended a man's life in 9 seconds. no its manslaughter no they did not have any proof the gun was planted they just asked him if he did and he said no. there is no evidence he planted a gun but its unclear as some cops noticed it right away and some didnt notice the gun. could have been but also it could not have been planted. well they responed so quickly bc this same man was chasing his ex GF and her 2 kids in a stolen truck going 90mph with a stolen gun reguardless of the gun thats more than enough reason the only mistake they made was acting too quick thinking it was still a high speed chase senerio and they didnt realize he stopped calmed down and decided to go home but reguardless he did still break the law big time but the response was unwarranted when he gave up chasing his ex. the body was not staged at all idk where you got that sounds like you made it up bc they didnt say the body was moved and it wasnt. no hes not being charged with murder bc it wasnt a murder or we dont have the evidence to prove it was either way it doesnt matter if you think he murdered him if you dont have proof. i do agree that other cops should be more careful but honestly unless we get proof they planted a gun i think 6 years is more than he diserves with this little evidence.

instead of guessing why dont you actually prove it and bring up an example of a normal citizen who committed involuntary manslaughter getting more than 6 years. ill wait. lmfao. btw it still wont prove your point bc every single case is different and cops have more authority and can do more things than the average citizen i mean no normal citizen would be able to go onto someone property after they committed a crime so it wouldnt be classified as involuntary manslaughter it would be manslaughter which would give you a higher sentence duh. its not corruption. lmfao

That sounds like justice, but I see a problem with it, he was willing to walk into private property and even shoot a man dead- which was unarmed-to save the life of another law breaking agent. So, it is posible that he was doing the same thing before that happened; and thus, getting himself into the problem of killing someone unlawfully. Now, 9 years in prison and paying the family a few million dollars for the loss of their loved one, would kind of add more justice to the dead one and his family.

Can you imagine if you were just a citizen and you made the choices the cops did? You would probably get life because someone died. This guy gets 9 years reduced to 6 years and he'll probably be out in a year. Watch and see if he doesn't get back working as a cop, after completing his "Powder Puff" sentence.
