Been on a Note8 Lease... lol $40/mon extra. Told my self stop being lazy and go commit to a new deal, a phone you will actually own. The steep $1000.00 price of most new phones is what kept me from bothering. Did some research and this one seem very promising and nothing but great reviews.

Well, finally bit the bullet and the T-Mobile version of the A71 5G from Samsung directly for $375. I had nothing to trade in a or that I wanted to trade in or it would have been less. In California in a T-Mobile store it's going for $600. $647 with sales tax. But really, for all the stuff the A71 does NOT have; like better screen glass and water resistance, it shouldn't be anything more than $500 in a carrier store. Anyway, besides saving the money, if it doesn't work out, it'll give me a good feel for how it would be to have the LG V60. If I got that I would get the dual screen version, as its only $50 more than the single screen, but I would probably only use the single screen out of the dual screen case anyway and the A71 is only 7 mm shorter and 2 mm less wide. If I got the v60 I would have to get it from the carrier, so I could make payments, and if I didn't like the size of it returning it is a minor hassle, not to mention the $50 restocking fee they would keep. The stupid security attachments they have to the phones in the stores don't allow you to pick them up and really get a feel how they would feel in your hand. So dumb they don't have a provision so the customer can get a real feel of the phone

I do trust samsung, as ive used them before, but, watching all these videos has me convinced I can trust oneplus just as much for a better value. Thank you for all your help. Edit: I plan to use at&t pre-paid. I have verizon but im sick of them, too much money
@@tristancaton7205 you're welcome. I always respond when I can. The OP8 5G is a very good phone. Maybe just the best haptic feedback I've ever used on a phone. Typing on it is a dream and the form factor is super sleek. Camera is hit or miss but certainly not bad especially with good lighting. My biggest issue was the battery life which I drain all batteries fast so it may not be an issue for you. The 90hz is really enjoyable the the screen is gorgeous. I hope you enjoy it. Definitely a better pickup than the A71 5G. It should last you for a good long time and Oxygen OS is my fave. I hope you enjoy it!
@@TechOdyssey Haha well battery may end up being an issue eventually but I don't usually do a lot of gaming and I seem to manage decently as is and I have a samsung s7 currently haha, i bought it 4 years ago, and I chose a slightly older model at the time, primarily for price but also i wanted the physical home button. i will miss that, and no headphone jack but you dont really need it anymore, itll just be a change.
Just got this phone it is awesome
It's definitely super nice. Glad you're enjoying it.
Hello how is the experience 2 yrs later?
@daisyyegon I have a s23 now and love the phone! My a 71 did a great job! Big screen easy to use! Over for price great phone! I would tell any one that needs a cheap phone to buy one!
Is this phone water and dust resistant?
I do not believe so
@@TechOdyssey Thank you, that's the only downer, great phone though, I may get one.
Does it have built in Smart View app that doesn't depend on wifi to share screen/ play video on a samsung tv? I dont think smart things works without wifi. Good review
I just bought one on swappa for $275 brand new 🥳🥳
Nice!
I picked one up this week in like new condition (A) - for $249 off of fleabay. Got it today and it is immaculate. Score! One other upgrade from the base A71 is that it has an aluminum frame (around the top/sides). Back is still plastic but it doesn't feel cheap in any way.
@@keithbrandson6293 nice!
The only bad thing is that the battery life sucks😕😕
@@ariabenjiciga3809 My battery life lasts a couple of days - although I am not a power user. I have found that the Samsung fast-charger (25W)- and acceptable USBC-USBC cable are important but can recharge from 0-100% in about 45 mins.
Been on a Note8 Lease... lol $40/mon extra. Told my self stop being lazy and go commit to a new deal, a phone you will actually own. The steep $1000.00 price of most new phones is what kept me from bothering. Did some research and this one seem very promising and nothing but great reviews.
It’s a solid phone. Can’t go wrong for the price
I'm still learning how to use it. I still haven't figured out the screenshot.🤣 The salesperson wasn't very professional.🙄I need to know what earbuds to use the ones I have don't work.
To take a screenshot press the power button and volume down button at the same time
There are also 2 more ways to Screenshot...
In keeping it simple,...
Under settings, search for Palm Swipe and Assistant Menu.
I just paid 600 at the t-mobile store cause I didn't have time to shop around. The phone is a pc. Of shit constantly dropping calls no signal 1/2 the time. my old $200 galaxy worked way better
@@charltonheston969 A lot of what I've been reading has been one extreme way or the other.
Maybe there's a reason why Samsung was offering the T-Mobile version for 375. Well, if mine turns out to be crap then I'll just head out to get the s20 FE.
Thanks for your input
You gave a good report
Thank you!
Most underrated phone of 2020??
It’s definitely been under my radar
@@TechOdyssey I got the non 5g for my wife to replace an s8 and and an s9. Her biggest complaint are that it didn't come in the dope purple color and the under screen ultrasonic biometric sensitivity. Dual sim, plenty of onboard storage, great processor, fast camera with good stabilization, every real necessity... Even unlocked without trade in, we got cases and screen protectors at under $400. I suppose it's a mid-range device but it does all the things (mostly) well. I appreciate your reviews and can't wait to see 'the new' blackberry scoops
Cheers from Los Angeles
Yes
Wow. That’s saying something
My dad had this phone and it's good but this smartphone gets really hot so not recommend for gaming
I love it, I think I will buy it
Mine has exynos 980
Not a 5 mp macro, its a 2
I have one I love it 👍
Nice
SHOW ME HOW ALIKE A FACETIME ?
@TechOdyssey Great channel with meaningful reviews and opinions. I like the relaxed presentation. For what it's worth, it's hard not to see that wad of tobacco in your lip during your presentation. Not picking on you in any way, just draws away from your great perspective.
Wad of tobacco? What are you talking about? I don't use tobacco 😂
@@TechOdyssey My humblest apologies! I stand corrected. It looked like it but my eyes are certainly getting old. Sorry for the misperception. Please keep up the great content.
@@elliotbaltazar no worries. You’re fine. I was just curious. Lol. Caught me off guard.
Is it safe to buy it on Amazon ? I see it for $444. Hope it wouldn’t be a imposter
Amazon is generally safe. Is it shipped and sold by Amazon?
Yes, it said sold and shipped by Amazon. It’s $499. Thank you for responding
👍Super bro
True that
This is a great phone I love it and it's a nice big screen
No it's not that impressive. Had it a year. It's glitching out
I had this phone.
The A72 has been leaked.
Can you install Facebook home at the bottom of my screen
You can drag the Facebook icon down there
my a71 5g is exynos
I guess you have the international model then.
middle east
Sooo long to get to basic specs come on
Huh?
Its good but its not 500 or 600 hundred good. Luckily samsumg has great trade in programs
It's very good considering the other competitors with the same or similar specs. Look at the Velvet and the Pixel
@@TechOdyssey LG has some great hardware but their updates are terrible. My ATT unlocked LG G8 stuck on pie. ATT only updates if you have service with them. Pixel is overpriced but a great phone. I always wait a year to get last year's Pixel. I did get the pixel 4a tho renewed for $300. It's a tiny little beast. Best bang for the buck is xiaomi. But no one does displays better than Samsung
Nice
😀👌
Thanks!
Good review. Thanks. God bless.
Thank you!
